Let the assassinations begins :p

Will start with Rogue first then move to Unity.

HA!

Nice try. Who would misspell their own handle? :p

I don't feel confident saying a 570 will match consoles, it's just too weak.

If there is one thing I would trust the minimum specs on, it's the VRAM. The game is highly likely to run horribly if you have less than 2gb.

Nope (notice the 7850). The stock 570 is a pretty good match for the 7850/PS4's GPU, much stronger than the Xbox One's:

Vram is a wildcard though, Nvidia... smh.

I don't know what you feel they've "debunked" here, exactly.
The fact that other parties enforce release-day review embargoes does not make the practice less scummy, and in this particular case the embargo is actually later than the actual release of the game. Those hours matter.

Has anyone ever done any statistical analysis of review embargo leniency versus stabilized metacritic score?
Because I certainly have a hypothesis on how that correlation would manifest.

I have a feeling GTAV would skew your "analysis."

It's not that scummy.

Am I the only person to notice the "h" missing in praiseworthy on the note or is that intentional?
Anyway, excited to get home to play this. Was hoping it would be released 12EST not PST :( Im sad now. Thankfully I have tomorrow off as it's Veterans day :D.

Wish this was a framerate chart for AC:Unity

Unfortunately, I don't think they even benchmark 570s in a lot of modern framerate charts anymore (or they're phasing them out). I did find Watch Dogs though, just not sure how much undocumented stuttering might be there because of VRAM limitations:

how much options do you have for assassinations and combat? Is it still just abuse the fuck out of berserk darts for stealth missions, and smoke bomb and stab everyone for combat?
Kind of .. But the game I find is a lot more challenging than b4..imbteying to avoid combat as much as possible..

Douchebag. Yes, me.
-The game has a lot of technical issues from various glitches in animations to the well known pop-in but the most significant is the horrible frame rate. I don't think it ever hits 30, it dips very often and in some rare cases it dips to something like 5 fps making the game unplayable for a few seconds.

This is on PS4? 5 FPS?!?

I've run into a few spots like that but they appear to be re creatable and not the norm. So it's more just specific spots where something is clashing most likely with the lighting. I've only noticed it that bad in the cathedral. I can recreate it every time.

Threw a hissy fit at no UK steam and swore not to purchase for more than £20.
Enter Origin India, and I'm in Day One for less than that - not optimistic about the quality of the PC port but for sub £20 and with the likely mess the XBO version will be, I'm set

Well... my retail ACU copy on PC actually fucking launches. The 2 Day1 Patches arent up yet, but Ill try to make some screenshots and give some performance impressions with the "vanilla" version. Also didnt update my drivers yet.

Got an early copy of Unity thanks to Amazon. Gameplay is pretty smooth but I ran into some weird jank with Arno running in mid air haha

Not sure if this has been posted but the entire OST is on YouTube.

Here is volume one and here is volume 2. Chris Tilton Composed Vol.1 and Sarah Schachner Vol. 2. Volume 2 is a step above 1 imo, but that call back on the first track of volume 1....I got chills. So ready for tomorrow!

If you want to pre-load on PC, Steam version:

1. Use OpenVPN, connect to a Canadian server from vpngate (run OpenVPN as admin)
2. Start Steam and begin to preload the game
3. Quit Steam (I didn't pause the preload, but don't know if it matters)
4. Disconnect the VPN
5. Start Steam again
6. You will now be pre-loading in your full local speed

Stupid question, but is there any way to VPN unlock this or are we actually waiting until Steam gets around to updating at 11 MST tomorrow?

It's only stupid if it was answered a few posts above yours... oh wait... lol

Preload, but unsure about release I guess/

Does anyone know if Target is also going to release the game at 9 pst in NA tonight along with best buy? (want to take advantage of b2g1 free and I am impatient)

It's actually available to preload in the Uplay client itself if you bought it directly from Ubisoft, which is a nice feature to finally have. I'd be very surprised if a US VPN doesn't make it playable tomorrow for non-US people.

Maybe a dumb question, but does anyone know when the China game launches? And will it be like a stand alone game you can buy, or more like a DLC where you need to own the base game?
