Yup.

The lore related content under 343i's realm ranges from fantastic to completely awful and does so rather quickly.

You have Silentium, then you have Spartan Ops. You have Escalation, and then you have the Halo 2 A cutscenes/terminals.

Lack of consistency is a major issue. Kind of like MCC's multiplayer, actually.

Staying in 2x Zoom for that Triple, that's how you know you are good at CE, 2x Zoom Master Race. 10x is too slow and usually leads to you overthinking the shot, 2x is quick, clean and muscle memory.

So it begins with SMG starts in 2014.
I look, look and look for a BR. Decide to wait in the base thinking it'll surely spawn soon enough.
Finally, I have a chance at a Rocket in this 2v4 SMG starts that we could've won without motion tracker.
I don't give up, so I try again! Oh look, this Magnum would definitely help me shred this Rocket guy before he notices me!
Finally, a shot at this Sniper who's been a harassment the entire match..

H2 you always need to swipe snipe. Let the game figure out where you were actually aiming (hint: it almost always guesses you were aiming for a head shot).

Turbo update is most assuredly not on H4, at least in BTB. Is that like, a playlist configuration thing? I thought it was a title update??

It was done via playlists, it was all map / gametype changes.

edit: a TU was done to add the weapon change hooks, but beyond that it was all Forge/Gametype editing

And seeing as no one has been able to hack into the Xbone, it looks like you aren't going to get any custom editing from the community. Real shame since that added quite a bit more life to Reach and Halo 4.

Partied up with three other friends into ranked H2A, here's what happened:

First game we get split, one of our friends gets placed on the opposing team and it's 5v4.

Second game, our friend gets placed on the opposing team.

Third (final) game, we finally get placed on a team all together then post-game the dreaded "syncing data" crap pops up.

After several shut downs of the MCC game and restarts, none of us can get it to go away, it continues to be on the screen. So we hard restart our Xbox Ones...still does it. We call it a night and move on to other games that actually work.

This is completely FUBAR.

We all assumed the patch was just going to do a domino effect and cause other things to fall and it did.

This was the straw that broke the camel's back for many gamers out there, and many of them are probably never going to return as a result. It's sad.

Since 343 actually scans this thread, hopefully they will see the issues people are having with this patch and hopefully it aides them in the second one.

Just to add to the feedback on the patch:

Solo searching is better, matchmaking times overall have been improved for me...but the game completely falls apart when you add more people to the party, which is a shame considering how much of Halo hinges on playing with friends. Party splitting, significantly longer matchmaking times, problems backing out of lobbies and games, connection issues. The UI was better, but still half-functional, constantly attempting to load party members' emblems and seemingly failing to do so. Joining parties was better...sometimes. You still get the occasional instance where it thinks you're in the same party and you can't do anything but reboot the game.

Overall, not really the patch that was needed. Doesn't help that the overall chat/online user experience for XBO is as awful as it is.

That would be a huge oversight if they didn't port those gametypes over...can someone load up a game and try to four-shot a second controller or something?

Even the fucking campaign is broken now! Tried loading into Halo 2 and I was met with a black screen, however I can still hear everything. Tried moving around and it's obvious that the game was running because I could hear the ghost. Pausing the game brought up the menu with a blurred image of the game in the background as normal, unpausing returned me to the black screen again. Can I have my pre-patch MCC back please? At least I got to play the solo game on that


I'm getting saltier by the second.




Edit: Restarting the level seems to have fixed it. This is the third time I've had to do this level now. Fix your shit 343.

I just don't get how a patch like this passes cert testing. Was there a bare minimum checklist and it got thumbs up across the board?

From the look of it they rushed it through cert as fast as possible and basically just checked to make sure it didn't brick consoles.7

All you need to do is switch graphic modes to fix that.

I feel like Battlefield 4 and MCC are almost getting equal.

I think Battlefield 4 is still ahead though. Literally every other match for the first two weeks of BF4, you would freeze and you'd need to hard reset your console. And then when that happened, all you data would be corrupted. Your campaign would reset, and you'd need to start the entire campaign over, all your loadouts with reset, ect.

I'd say that one was a lot more annoying then MM not working alot. But we'll see. Sad how we have to compare these, though.

We live in times, were game breaking glitches and bugs are freezing your console and >6GB day one patches are normal and required. What do you think how this passed certification?

That being said, it ain't easy to patch a game that isn't yours in 1st place. Several studios worked on this thing and you just lose track of things. 343i is trying to put puzzles together, without knowing how the puzzles go in. This will probably take a while, but it's getting better at least

I was finding games pretty easy last night. Still starting with uneven teams sometimes witch is unacceptable when it comes to Halo. I don't know what to say about the situation that hasn't been said other then he real loser in this fuck up is Halo. Halo reach, Halo 4, and now Halo MCC have really killed the brand.

Man I really thought this game would be the game. I followed every bit of news on it, and I was so excited for it that I bought it digitally. I have never been this disappointed with a game. I really thought the patch would fix at least the matchmaking issues, but nope. 3v4, 4v5, match incomplete, lag.

Matchmaking is not the only thing I like though. I love forging. Yet it doesn't really matter what I make since there is no online file browser, and I'm willing to bet we won't get one for months.

There is really no reason for me to have this game anymore.
