Wii U bundle + $50 gift card for $299 (Walmart)

A good amount? I am sleep deprived but the console is 325-330 or so with taxes. Mario Kart/3D world go for 55 at most but often lower on amazon with tax included. nintendo land is 22 with tax.

Even with the gift card subtracted that is above 200 dollars.

Didn't think of taxes. Still under $200 for the console though

Using your numbers

300-55(Mario Kart)-50(Gift Card) -22 (Nintendoland)
= $173 (plus tax for the console)

I swore I wouldn't buy a Wii U unless it's $200 or less. This is very close to that, but no cigar.

It will get there, that Toy'Rus deal was pretty legit. By next Black Friday probably more bundles at that price range.

Too much stuff anyway to play, I'll join you brothers next year =).

The answer to your question was right there in the OP.

I dont understand why this deal is making waves?

This bundle has been showing up on ebay (tax free) for the past few months for either 250 or 260, and you dont have to deal with gift cards also.

I'm not sure how Nintendo thinks they can sell Wii U for $299 + 1 game when both MS and Sony were offering multi-game bundles. MS was including like 3-4 games for $329 with the Bone. There was a PS4 deal for $329 too, although with no games the $399 + 2 games deal was the better one overall.

Well maybe Nintendo are more interested in not taking a loss on hardware than units sold at this point, there's no reason to take a bath on the Wii U now I guess.

my friend is going to get one right now and can't decide between 3D world or Wind Waker with the gift card. lol

If he never played Wind Waker he should go for that. Zelda always > everything else.

3D World is a great Mario game though. I was surprised how much I like it.

Most Nintendo bundles this Holiday ended up around the ~$250 price point when bundled with a game. Either directly available at $250, or valued at that amount when taken with a gift card.

The console itself was available at several locations at $200.

Nintendo doesn't care. They're not making any effort to aggressively push the console.

A year old Skylander bundle that retailers want to get rid of.

The $329 Xbox Had 2 games (Assassin's Creed Black Flag and Unity)

One of the Wii U bundle also has 2 games. (Mario Kart and Nintendoland) It also comes with a $50 gift card. (The Xbox bundle at Target did too but it is sold out)

This is the deal that Wii U should have had on Black Friday IMO.

Xbox did awesome with their Black Friday deals.

How often did Amazon match walmart on blackfriday? Tax, shipping and a week long wait kills the deal for me but something similar on Amazon would be an instant buy.

I would say neither as both have been available for cheaper elsewhere.

Better value for your money would be Bayonetta or Smash.

i guess it doesn't matter now because they don't even have any MK8 bundles. apparently the case is stocked with 3D world bundles and they wouldn't price match the website deal.

the online stock locator seems to be shut off for that listing, I don't think they want anyone doing in-store pickup through the website.

Try forcing the desktop version of the site, works for me.

Or PM me your zip code and I will let you know which Walmart has them in stock.

If they want us to buy one so bad where is the free Wii-U + entire library of games included bundle?

Some people...

I can currently buy a refurb for $200 that includes Nintendoland and buy any game for $60, which is only $10 worse than this deal, and doesn't make me spend a gift card at Walmart.

So, care to actually refute what I'm saying, or are you aware that you have nothing intelligent to say and just want to spout Nintendo fanboy bullshit?

Nah the best one was, 329 2 games + 1 free game at the microsoft store =)!

Scored 2 ac games+ mcc + console for 329 =)!

Right, it basically values the console at $270 or $280 even without taking games into consideration.

I bought Unity on Xbox one and love it, so to me that's another $60 value right there for just 1 game (and I would play rogue for free or big discount). So thats $220 or even $160 if you value those games at full price (which they arent, they are download codes so if you play them you cant resell them or trade) take another $10 for microsoft store (I have a BB 20% card so the target deal works out better for me)

It really put me off taking any of the wii u deals in comparison - I want it for X so there is no rush. I was tempted by the $200 skylander TRU deal but I didnt want a basic hard drive (I wont play many games, its basically an "X" box as it were, so I dont want to buy extra storage)

they checked in the store and the nearest MK8 bundle in stock was 50 miles away, lol

that page won't show the location info or let you add it to the cart but when you go to the mobile version it works correctly.

Almost grabbed it, but I think I'll wait for the $260 3D World bundle from Newegg/Ebay to reappear. No tax in my state.

And still considering if I should get one at all- its less the price of the console, but the games. When you can pick up PS4/XB1/PC games that are months old for half off during sales, spending nearly full retail for a Wii U game that's significantly older... I dunno.

Brand new for cheaper than refurbished is a great deal.

Damn, already bought a vita, I can't buy 2 consoles in a week; unless I want to eat nothing but instant noodles.
I'll have to pass, hopefully I'll join you guys next year :)

If I hadn't already bought a TV, a few games and a headset, I would have already gotten a Wii U. It's just gonna have to wait until next year.

Still waiting for a 32GB one for $250 but I don't think it will happen. I don't even care about the games since I only care about Smash and I already have it.

I had the chance to get the ebay super mario bundle, but passed on it. Decided I did want the bundle and just bought the Walmart one online. Could have saved a little with the no tax ebay one though.

Lots of great games for this guy!

I got MK8 from for $35 on Black Friday. So good. I've been splitting time between that and Hyrule Warriors (so surprised at how fun that game is) over the weekend.

December 2015 it is for u

I don't see Nintendo doing much anytime soon with the Wii U price given the games just released and upcoming lineup.

Why do you insist on a 32 GB one? You're likely to need external storage either way. You should have bought the 8 GB at $200 and acquired a cheap drive.
