Thoughts on PS Experience Keynote?

I've never played a Suikoden game, so I'm pretty stoked about that. Also, their indie game showing showed a bunch of games I actually want to play, which hardly ever happens.

Absolutely terrible. Whether you overhyped or not that was an awful show all around. Not one megaton. Fucking bullshit. I would have rather had nothing.

1/10. Fuck Sony.

Hey guys look at me! Look at me! I'm trying so hard!

Edging my way towards buying a PS4 but this wasn't the conference to push me over. I've got a Wii U, XB1 and PC so I feel pretty well covered.

It was a great show. Tons of games, bood pacing. But the ending was lame imo, it wasn't in context with the show's purpose, to celebrate Playstation's heritage.

No Man's Sky is still incredible.
Uncharted got a little downgrade, especially regarding environments, but the gameplay surpassed my expectations.

The Order looks fantastic imo, it appears to have a more traditional but solid gunplay, coupled with a visual presentation that is beyond everything I've seen in my life.

Bloodborne is Bloodborne.

Great show, I give it 8 out of 10 because we didn't get Crash.

Until Dawn, Jaffe's game and the LBP 3 video were the highlights. That Forest game also looked neat and The Order gameplay looks solid. Fat Princess coming back is also great. Everything else ranged from meh to boring to me. The Uncharted intro in particular was waaay to long and showed the same gameplay in a prettier version of the forest we have seen in every Uncharted since the first. No Mans Sky continues to show the same exact video everywhere with a different color pallet.

Solid showing. Why would people think they were going to blow their E3 2015 load here? Come on, we know their studios and they don't have enough to give you what you want here and then put in a decent E3 2015 showing as well.

I really liked that they recognized this wasn't a press briefing so they didn't talk numbers or side projects like Powers. Lots of great looking games, just disappointed with what they showed (said) on Persona 5 and the lack of the anniversary console information.

Underwhelming 2/10.

2 points for uncharted which was the only good part in the conference by far.

Everything else was indie, and the order still looks bad.

I can't go on like this, no AAA first party games.

All the time the same indie showcase, these games don't interest me and i didn't get a PS4 to play these.
This is factually incorrect.

"Indie games don't interest me." I will never understand this terrible attitude. You don't like video games?

The only thing I wasn't keen on so much was the length. It was perhaps dragged out a bit too long and the U4 gameplay went in too long despite how great it looked. But there was game after game. In fact perhaps too many games coming.

Outside of U4 though I think it was Until Dawn that got my attention the most. Can't wait to play that.

Sure we'd all have loved a megaton or 2 but the event was only overhyped by whoever and the "insiders" shouldn't be given the time of day in future.

Better then there E3

Part of me wonders if E3 will be media focused from them again tho and this might end up being a "annual" thing

I think it was decent. Lots of interesting looking games but the SFV leak, FFVII announcement and our overhyping definitely spoiled the show.

2/10

Extremely disappointing. This is supposed to be a celebration of 20 years of Playstation and the very first Playstation Experience. They needed big guns and to play up nostalgia. Instead they wasted like 40 minutes on games that have already been talked about 100 times (The Order 1886, No Man's Sky, Destiny, Arkham Knight etc.) they show an interesting yet too lengthy demo of Uncharted 4 that would have been better saved for E3, and then downright INSULT us with that Peter Moore segment and FF7 segments.

The ONLY decent things/nice surprises in that entire 2 hour conference were: Ono with SF IV/V, The 3rd party relations guy (the one wearing the fedora thing) segment specifically the part with Tim Schaffer, and the last segment with Jaffe.

Everything else was corporate garbage, lame jokes, and indie games that could have easily been shown in a cool 2 minute montage instead of being stretched out.

So Uncharted 4, The Order, Bloodborne, Tearaway were what. You people and AAA.

Kind of dissapointed. A crapload (admittedly decent) multiplatform games that are appearing on PC as well, or are already on PC. And the exclusives were a mixed bag, Uncharted, and The Order didn't really wow me. Bloodborne looked really great though. But one of their biggest weapons, SFV was already leaked, and my hype for the series kind of died with Street Fighter 4. Solid showing but overall, it just reminded me how great it is to be into PC gaming at the moment.

Also, still have no idea what "No Man's Sky" is. Looks gorgeous but need more details. Is there going to be player vs player combat? Base building perhaps? Need at least some info in note form! Oh, and two yakuza games being localised on PS3 and Persona 5 being on PS3 as well kind of made me even happier I'm getting a PS3 for dirt cheap soon instead of shooting for the PS4.

Absolute shite. 1/10. Did not care for any of the "reveals" at all.

Fuck you to the insiders spouting garbage for the weeks leading up to this.

I've got a few things to say

1: Fuck Jaffe for talking so much. I don't care about your shit games anymore.
2: Fuck you Square-Enix for completely draining the sauce of my body by putting three images of FFVII and then feeding us more bullshit instead of giving us what we want
3: Fuck you Konami for working "so hard" on giving us Suikoden on Vita instead of doing something people could actually play
4: Fuck you Atlus for managing to only redo a title (Persona 5) since the 'reveal' of the game

and last but definitely not least:

5: Fuck you GAF for hyping me up so much for this fucking piece of shit event. 0/10 Worse than PS3 E3 2006

My two favorite meltdowns so far.

It was awesome loved the show really good sense of community and loved that it was not that serious but serious enough for big and small games.

But FUCK SE just fuck them .

Decent showing. 7.5 / 10.

Now for the massive hype train that was going on here? It wasn't even close to matching any of that. E3 really still is the last home of the Megaton

Kinda disappointed that we didn't see more from the first party.

Where was Guerilla? MM was there, but where was their main PS4 game? What about Persona 5? The fuck was that? "Persona 5 is coming to the PS4 guys"

I really could go on and on. But it was pretty good. Was never going to live up to the hype though.

Isnt there one more day? Why are people assuming there are no more chances for megatons?

because people say that every E3 too and it never happens. Remember too, this wasn't an e3 either, it was a supplemental show so for that, I think it was pretty good. It was clear SFV was going to be their megaton, and likely would have been huge, had it not been leaked. People need to get their expectations in check with these sorts of things. They never live up to what some of you guys expect so eventually that becomes a "you" problem, not a Sony/MS/Nintendo problem.

It was great. So many emotions, from joy to confusion to anger to sadness. It was like watching a drama.

It was like Twitter was made for that FF7 moment. I've never seen such excitement crash to anger and disappointment so fast before.

I guess if you did spend you time in an echo chamber megathread full of hype gifs and insider fantasy fan-fiction you're hype was probably higher than the average person outside of the forum.

6/10, was going to be 7 if Square didn't fuck with us. Where was Ratchet and Clank Redux? Some of the new games just don't look interesting to me. If this was the conference that was going to get me to buy a PS4, then you have failed.

I was crying tears of joy when they announced Yakuza 5 translation.
I was crying tears of sadness when they showed FF7.
Couldn't care less for show after that.

I thought it was okay. Uncharted 4 looked sick and the news about Street Fighter V being cross-play made me very happy.

axisofweevils

Holy crap! Today's real megaton is that more than two people can have the same first name.
It had some good moments, but like most Sony conferences, it was overlong. Also, Sony continued their E3 love for pointless statistics. "Did you know that the PS exclusive gun in Destiny was fired X times?" Nope, and I don't care either.

I never thought an announcement could be so bad that it retroactively made me hate the entire conference. 6/10

A really good show and I wasn't hyped before because I don't own a Sony system yet. Maybe that's why I'm not disappointed. Better than E3 and gamescom imho.

7.5/10 (the ending was poor)

It was 90% indies. Their biggest announcement by far was Street Fighter V and that got leaked yesterday lol.

it was fine - you will never get personal interest in 100% of the games shown at these types of thing but boy that FF VII announcement was brutal. Not for me but for the people who thought it was actually going to happen and then - pc port. Boy that is bad. I feel bad for them. Brutal Square Enix just brutal.

No Man's Sky continues to look like my perfect game. I gave up The Last Guardian a long time ago. Uncharted 4 sure looked like another Uncharted and um yeah like I say it was okay. Day of the Tentacle though was a nice surprise but maybe not a huge one.

All in all for a keynote it was fine. I sat at home streaming it though so its no skin of my nose how it was. Its the games themselves that matter when they come out.

Hopefully it's a sign of things to come. Seemed like Sony was the last of the big 3 still wasting time talking about nothing during conferences but they have learned games is where it's at.

SF5
Yakuza 5
Persona 5

I'll take it.

I had no expectations since I didn't even know there was going to be a keynote until like two hours before it started.

Overall, it was really bad. Started off great with Uncharted 4 and Bloodborne. Then hit a huge rut with endless ports. Then went downhill even further with the hilariously terrible FFVII moment. Could have recovered with No Man's Sky, but instead they still decided not to show us anything really about the game. Then the lolworthy arena shooter that Sony seemed to think was a good way to close the show.

And I have no idea why this thing was 2 hours long. The people who paid to see this must have been PISSED, hahahaha.

8/10

Better than VGA by a bit.

We got to see Uncharted, Bloodborne, SFV got announced, P5 confirmed for NA release, Shovel Knight with Kratos Boss on all platforms, Shuhei Yoshida in Super Time Force, some Tearaway, Yazuka coming over, lots and lots of Vita games, No Man Sky etc.

I feel bad for FFVII, I have no stake in that race but even I felt trolled, but get over it k? Thanks =)

All the ports of already released pc games didn't need trailers. Uncharted was awesome but everything from there was fairly boring.
