If it's that important then they probably should have included it in the game

It's not critical to the game, it just fleshes out a lot of details that would be difficult to work into the game dialogue.

There's a nice mix of real London history and fictional history/lore of the game. Plus you get a free dynamic theme :)

I have never played only racers, I played other games even more, but not being so active about them.

Also, Destiny is my main new-gen time waster, all others are simply noble distractions :)

Ah, gotcha. I guess me never having entered Destiny threads much explains it too. :p

Imagine how creepy it'd be if you come up on a halfbreed in the game in like a dark foggy alley and it's singing the Bobby Paige song

Nightmare fuel.

Man I've been listening to some of the music from the game again and it's really fucking incredible. Haunting is the best word I can think of to describe it.

It really is great, love the way the choir comes in at the 2 minute mark, very sinister.

Great video here about creating the music

Ya the choir sounds so dark, sinister is a great way to describe that sound.

After hearing stuff like that, seeing the older trailer with the lantern being the only source of light and hearing about Alien being an influence on the game for its horror aspects. I wonder what kind of creepy/scary scenes will be in this game.

What I wonder now is the future Orders.

This one is 1886.

I am almost certain how next Order will be in the completely different time setting.

The foundations of the approach and universe allow for amazing jumps from era to era.

I already can see a steampunk version of today like The Order: 2009, as well as the steampunk futuristic The Order: 2114, or something

The Order probably need to sell more than 3 million before Sony thinks about another one.
The game was expensive (120 team members/4 years).
I hope it will sell well, but a sequel is not guaranted.

If they change the setting/time we won't have Galahad though :(

If the story of 1886 allows for a sequel I'd like 1887 personally.

I could see it evolving years and years down the line from steampunk to cyberpunk 2886 starring Galahad the biker gang member.

I doubt it was full time 120 persons for 4 years, sounds more like full-steam production (which I doubt took more than 2 years).

3 millions seems high for a new exclusive. They probably aimed below 2 millions

Edit : pure assumptions of course

I really want this game to be good. It looks so interesting, but showing the same demo for over a year really killed any goodwill it had with the press.

As in they have the setup to jump settings for each game entry in the franchise.

Pretty cool. A futuristic Order title would be bonkers.

Yeah I think this is likely, I would love to see alternative WW1, The Order 1914. Altenative history trench warfare could be the thing of nightmares.

In the Q&A Ru mentioned that the dev time was 4 years including R&D originally they had to make a choice as to weather they would skip PS3 and go through to PS4, he mentioned the entire project was on the line during this point and could have completely collapsed.

By mid 2013 The Last of Us had sold over 8 million copies. How many people played the MP? About 200k total?

I don't know anybody who played it and played the MP. Games needing MP is a myth.

The quote from venture beat was:

"GamesBeat: How many people do you have working for you now?

Weerasuriya: Overall about 120, but that includes some contractors that we use.

GamesBeat: How many worked on The Order?

Weerasuriya: All of them, working for about four years. Four years exactly, in fact."

but later he says

"That last stretch was very trying, especially because we’re a bigger team than we ever were. It takes a lot more people, a lot more hands on deck to finish something like this. It was challenging."

I'm pretty sure the number is a lot higher than that.
I agree with your point, but ND make some great MP (especially the Last of Us MP) so in that case I don't mind.

On that subject though, I'm quite glad that this doesn't have MP. I really am looking forward to it now!

A couple of spoilery things I forgot to mention yesterday but are not integral to the story mostly details that probably havent been mentioned but dispel some rumors.

-
Excalibur is important to the lore but not in this game at all.

-Each knight has their own important blade that is very personal to them and very important to them BUT not essential to the main story, see the point above for more specifics.

-
Galahad died once already in pursuit of the grail with Sir Percaval

-
The order found the grail and it was mostly down to Galahad.

RAD was not 120 people 4 years ago.
I remember it''s in 2012 when really start to hire people.

I hope there's some replaybility after you complete the game, like things to collect/find. But I will go through it again anyway on a harder difficulty level.

1986. Moustaches replaced with shit haircuts and facepaint.

As opposed to an automatic animation? I kinda like it, you're more involved imo.
no, i mean myself having total control. like, let me walk up to the guard, sniff his asshole, walk away, then walk towards the guard again and finally choke him out when i feel good and ready. not have a prompt automatically pop up when i get into a buffer zone. let me drag the guard around while i have him in a chokehold, maybe take him to a more hidden area.
