Not usually into trinkets and cover plates etc, but that Ps4 does look classy.
I hope at some point the game introduces a new enemy type which swallows bullets, forges them into balls of flame and spits them right back in the player's face.
You aren't weird, many people enjoyed that sort of dungeon crawler aspect of the Souls games. My thoughts are they are trying to differentiate more from the Souls games with this, so you don't end up in a fight that you find impossible, only to switch to a different weapon and find it to be a cake walk. Also, they might be trying to go with a base weapon sort of idea that majorly defines the character, and then you upgrade the weapon differently to have different feels and effects. I'm cautiously optimistic.Nope. I must be one of those weird ones who enjoyed farming weapons/armor from enemies in the past games.
Yes, Miyazaki confirms. There will be a New Game Plus mode.
He laughs.
Were having trouble beating it, though.
It's the cleaver the "main" hunter uses in it's transformed stateLooks like Capra's weapon
That sword has weight to it!Looks like Capra's weapon
Posted in the gone gold thread but someone on GAF already has the game: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=155634748&postcount=1471

oh shit
I have never played any "souls" game or anything like it. I will be picking up Bloodborne though. I'm quite excited to play what everyone is so hype for.
Spoilers from Chalice Dungeon demo write up on Famitsu:
Three minutes in, player is crossing a bridge while getting pelted by poison daggers and gets hit by a swinging blade. He falls into a pit of enemies and dies immediately. The flaming weapon is from a buff. Boss is called Corpse Giant.(like The Rotten, maybe?)
Only found 6 or so weapons and 6 or so guns in 40 hours

This somewhat concerns me... but perhaps the weapon "transformations" mean that we esentially have mulitple ways to use every weapon.

Dual fist weapons at 1:40!?
Jk. I've never invaded a soul
Dat teleport behind at 2:08. I remember reading something like if you dodge right as the enemy's about to hit you, you'll teleport behind them but I think this is the first time seeing it? Also some footage of the greatsword at 2:10.
Dual fist weapons at 1:40!?
this one?
Thanks. I could also not buy it. I am talking legit game options.
I don't think that's the Kirkhammer at 2:06. Its moveset is much faster and the hilt is longer. Could be wrong though.
Looks like the Kirkhammer to me.
Also spam your pause/play button at 2:05 what the hell is that on the players back?!
PS4 Network Settings ==> disconnect from internet
I think there are certain bells that you can set up if you want co-op and other bells that you set up if you want to invade or be invaded.
The first big new-gen exclusive, confirmed.
Using the co-op bell also opens you up for invasions.

Never played the Soul series. How hard do you think this game is? Need new games for my PS4.
Ok. Is that the resonant bell or lulling bell? I'm still trying to wrap me head around the whole invasion/co-op mechanics.
Judging from the alpha I'm gonna say if you're not good at games, this probably isn't gonna be a good buy for you.
There's gonna be a lot of pre-owned copies at Gamestop a week after release from people buying the game on hype and getting demolished.
Man, I really wish other Japanese developers would pour this much love into their English script like From is. I'm looking at you Square-Enix, Namco, etc.
No one knows. All that is know is that - in a welcome change - players can kill their invader OR the woman bringing them in.
Bloodborne will support up to three players in co-op, including the host of the game and two summoned guests. To summon them to a game, the host player must use an item called a "Lulling Bell". On the other hand, guest players that use a "Small Resonant Bell" may enter a host's game at any time. Both of these options can be circumvented if players use a "Watchword" to set a password up for their session. While this only works for co-op, it allows anyone who knows the password to join them at anytime. One other action players are able to perform is a mysterious featured called a "Parting Shot", which causing the game session to end (works in PvP as well).
PvP will function almost exactly like how it does in the Dark Souls series, allowing up to two invading players to enter into a host's game. In return, the host can use the "Ominous Resonant Bell" to give players the ability to invade other games. Players should also be aware that a character in the game called the "Bell Maiden" may or may not cause players to invade your game at any time.
