So to everyone who died on the abhorrent beast- I have developed the lazy method. Like, the "I suck at depth 5" lazy method, and I want little to no risk.

And yes, I was on the mic in a party and he didnt have it set so that he can be heard. I really only uploaded this to show how lazy this fight can be done. (So yeah, watch x2 speed)

For those too lazy to watch it
-20 poison knives, one every 45 sec.
Lol
Nice man, what chalice are you on now? Hopefully you were able to open the defiled and move on! :)

When I first played the
Witches of Hemlock
boss fight, I felt like it was kind of ill-conceived. It may still be, but after going through it a second time, I've warmed up to the fact that the entire fight is basically a puzzle. The first time I played it, I was kind of running around like a chicken with its head cut off, and now on NG+ knowing how to approach it -- I didn't use a single healing item, whereas the first time through I went through all 20 trying to figure out what to do and how to do it.

I think it's a pretty cool fight now, even if it ends up being the first fight on NG+ which I feel is basically pushover levels of easy.

Ok, I just beat (optional I think) boss M
artyr
L
ogarius
and
a path to the queen opened. She refuses to give me an audience and there is nothing else to do. Should I kill her, or is there more to this? I don't really feal like completely messing up my game.

That was not an easy boss by the way. I felt like I was overlevelled at 65, because the area was ridiculously easy, but that was one mean boss.

I'm king now though, I've got the crown to show it, give me an audience queenie.

I think you can
sign a covenant with her, but if you're already in a covenant
you can't... I think.

I was able to
kneel and enter her a covenant
with her immediately.

just dodge his bites correctly, i only hit his right side. He has a pretty obvious tell for his charge attack, if yoy stay to close he can suprise you with it and one shot yoy. I had to take a break and come back to it.

Day 3 of my quest. Two bosses down so far.
Cleric Beast
I beat on my first try but
Father G
took me about 10 to 15 tries. What a bitch! I'm currently in
Old Yahrnam
with that asshole
shooting me from the rooftop
. Some parts of this game feel a lot easier than the other Souls games but other parts are just as difficult if not more.

25 pages into |OT3| , Damn.

So, I'm level 57 and my stats are:
Vit: 30
End: 30
Str: 11
Skl: 22 (Cane user)
Blt: 7
Arc: 7

Should I get 25 in skill first and then go for more vit/end? (Vit/end are on the softcap)

I'm not in a covenant, but maybe because I'm in the end game she doesn't like me anymore? Or was it because I was wearing the crown and she doesn't like to be reminded of my killing her husband?

It's always interesting to see how people struggle with different bosses. #3 on your list was probably the easiest for me, whereas #6 was a struggle and #9 remains undefeated. (This is probably due to different stats and builds, though.)

Pretty interesting that the bosses I found extremely hard so far (
Gascoigne, and Witches
) are bosses you found trivial, while bosses you found to be hard (
Blood-starved beast, Amelia
) are the ones I found to be trivial.

I expect a lot of it relates to my build having emphasis on using a heavy two hander and my default solution being the age old Souls tactic of 'place face as close to enemies crotch and swing until low on stamina, roll and repeat'. A lot of bosses like #9 I didn't even give a chance to use their mechanics on me whereas enemies like the
Matyr
don't appreciate crotch hugging.

I don't remember, how do you reach the zone where you fight
Mergo's nurse?
I mean from the start of the location, nightmare of something. not frontier

Did you know you can also
find the second Witch before you kill the first? You can drop her health super low, then go kill the first, and then finish off the second to make the fight super trivial. Takes a bit of patience, though. I couldn't find the second witch on NG+ until I got the first to like 40%

Still requesting some coop on Rom, level 42. Rang the bell by his door.

In case you can't get help, here's my method. http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=158120458&postcount=1191

So when player messages disappear it's probably safe to say that co-op doesn't work either right? Tried closing the application a couple of times, but it doesn't bring back any sign of online activity. Bummer.

Edit: Nevermind that, they just popped op again out of nowhere.

Passing metallic gas
I tried doing it your way and just kept dying, dying, dying.

Once I took down
every spider
individually then focused on
Rom
, I won. It's much easier this way.

Be warned that guy is probably one of the toughest fights in the game, he can one shot you with ease.

3rd try.

killed by my own son - was remote playing on PSTV and my son didn't realise, and pressed the PS button on his controller right in the middle of a fight with Vicar Amelia. So naturally I died.

also, while I might not be good at this game, it can be infuriating to read tips that say 'just stay behind so and so' - but they spin around so fast it is bloody difficult. Plus their 'frontal' attacks seem to be more like '270 degree' frontal

Nah,
I was wearing the crown and she was fine
, could be because you're at the end though.

Cane user here on NG+ at lvl 101. In first play I got Skill to 30 and just stopped with it, focusing on Vit and End. (more so End).

In NG+, I started sinking more into Skill because you just need that extra dmg. So took it to 40 and 1 in Vit for every 2 in endurance has served me well.

Yoshichan

And they made him a Lord of Cinder. Not for virtue, but for might. Such is a lord, I suppose. But here I ask. Do we have a sodding chance?
Does the cane scale with S (Skill) in the end?

So I'm Lvl 77 or so, and I've only found 1 Blood Chunk to update my weapons to +7 and above. I just completed
Rom
.

Is it because I'm still not supposed to find them, or is it because my Insight is low? (Currently around 24 insight... each time it gets above 30 I spend a couple of points).

I would like to continue upgrading my weapons :/

And that, sir, is why I love this game. You just keep learning new shit. Awesome!

You get one from the boss Mergo's Wet Nurse. It's part of the standard progression loop; it's the one cord that everyone will get.

oedipus would be proud

VA is weak against fire so try fire paper or the oil+molotov combo. also try numbing mists to stop her healing. you can pick some up around the cathedral.

Does anyone know of anything close to a 100% completion guide? I finished the game last night and killed
the moon presence
. Although i have a feeling I missed LOTS of stuff.

So I decided that Bloodborne is like a hybrid of Resident Evil 4 + Soul Calibur (or insert your preferred 3D fighting game) + Xenoblade.

I don't know but i guess the more you have insight > more/better drops but enemies get harder.

A bit like humanity in DaS (more humanity is better for item drops)

... But I might feel differently by NG++, if I ever get that far. By that stage I can imagine ones own soundtrack might really enhance the experience.

If you did this right, it could be amazing. Radiohead's Exit Music for a Film in particular comes to mind.

Does the cane scale with S (Skill) in the end?

Either a rune or Bolt Paper.

It only goes up to A.

Have you guys seen the gemstones that increase stat scaling? I have a Sharp Blood Gemstone: SKL Scaling +9.5. Makes my +6 Uncanny Threaded Cane go from B to A. So maybe with a scaling gem, Cane would be S at +10.

Haven't heard that song in ages. Time to bust it out.
