At the lamp in the cathedral, if you turn left you're gonna be at a square. In that area take the right way, and you're gonna see a staircase. A giant will be walking there so take care. At the top of it, there's the gate!

I've already entered that gate though? I can fight the boss...

So THAT'S how people are getting to that
first floor of the lecture hall
first. my first time in the hall was after
Rom
and it
spawns you on the second floor, with the door leading to nightmare of mensis, not the first floor
. I only went back there and found
nightmare frontier
(much later so it was a cakewalk) because I remember seeing a ladder I hadn't used. These games man...

Is there a point on using a magic based blood gem on a weapon?

The moment I attach one I lose all my physical buffs from the other gems... so what gives?

Yeah, this is why I suggest chalice dungeons for a challenge instead. NG+ is kind of broken easy at some point.

Orr stunlock him in a corner \o/

Extras so that if you screw up once you have another shot at the ending.

?
Do they wear off if you die on the final boss or something?

So I'm trying to help my friend beat the
Darkbeast Paarl
. We are within 2 or 3 levels of each other.

We are both in the Hypogean Gal but I can't use any of my bells. I need to use the small resonant bell but I can't. It's grayed out.

Why would this be?

Ugh, I had to quit tonight. I've seen people say
blood starved beast
is the easiest boss, yet I've failed 5+ times. I've even summoned help twice. I've used up all my oil, Molotov, and fire paper.

I suck. Need to just go back to the beginning and farm. I'm level 26.

The 1st and 2nd bosses were way easier then this 3rd boss, imo!
If you want a hint:
stack some souls and buy some pungent blood cocktail, for 2k each with the messengers in the hunter dream. During the fight, throw it to him and he will start to atack that direction ignoring you for a little time... enough for you to attack him and maybe even backstab.
Also, I would recommend to call a co-op partner. Call it near the lamp and make your way to the boss with the shortucts.

I've already entered that gate though? I can fight the boss...

You probably took other way. The same happened to me... I took a different path, had access to the boss, did not unlock the gate and could not summon no one till I unlocked it.

Hey guys, ending spoilers:

I can't get 2
out of 4 umbilical cords, and supposedly you need 3. I killed Iosefka before the red moon and the prostitute I never sent to oedon chapel, I sent her to Iosefka. Does
this mean I'm locked out of the true end boss?

Side note:
Ebrietas
is bullshit.
I counted, I think she has like 20.000 HP. Still stuck on her, and I found the best strategy is to actually
cheese her from the back, just keep mashing. Using an electric saw spear. Too bad her next forms drop me in 5 seconds.

Constant ghostly moaning while the bell maiden is in the area creeps me the hell out. I can't sleep.

I need some advice, I'm considering reloading a PS+ save (and losing all of today's progress which would suck, about 1h30 of it).

Here's what happened (early to mid-game spoilers):

I died to a bag man. I got carried into the Unseen Village area. I explored a bit, immediately found the boss, and killed it super easily. I did NOT find the lamp, missed it.

Now I can't go back upstairs because you drop down from a platform to reach Darkbeasdt Paarl. I returned to the Hunter's dream via the Paarl lamp, returned to visit another bagman, and deliberately died to him, but I just respawned normally.

I know you can reach this area later in the game, but it's really pissing me off. Will I miss some cool secrets/loot? Is that worth reloading for?

Level 72, stats as follows. Looking for tips on where to take my character from here.

Vitality 30
Endurance 22
Strength 40
Skill 13
Bloodtinge 9
Arcane 8

I initially went for a pure Strength tanking build, as I always start Souls games that way. Bloodborne feels super limiting with this type of build though. I don't make good use of guns at all and some of the coolest weapons seem more Skill based.

Tips for how to allocate points from here on out or what I should focus on for my next character?

I'm not sure if it's dependent on weapon or level. I stunned him by two-handing a +3 Holy Blade.

I'm using +5 holy blade at level 41....I rush him right at the start and get underneath. Once he gets away it seems impossible to get back under him. I also have zero vials but i'm just trying to get his pattern down and can't. If I go farm vials im gonna blow through em fast....guess i'll level for a while...still have another boss near Cathedral Ward.

Defeated Rom. Bullshit fight. Glad it's over though. My big issue now is that I've only just found out about Eileen the Crow, but given how much progress I've made, I'm not sure where to find her. Any ideas? D:

Got it!! Almost there now thanks!

Nah, but its so that if you do something like what I did, which was
go to the clinic upstairs very early due to searching everywhere and killing the girl in fair combat, you lose the 4th one.
Basically, it's a safety net to allow people to see the third ending without getting screwed by one thing.

I'm kinda lost.

I just
finished the Lecture Hall 2nd Floor. When I leave, it takes me to the Nightmare Frontier, which I've already been through and beaten Amygdala. Where should I go next??

I didn't know about her before fighting Rom either. She was waiting in the Grand Cathedral afterwards, that's the only place I've seen her.

Wow, finished the game.

level 77, and I somehow managed to get the
true ending
.

THESE ARE END BOSS SPOILERS, turn back if you don't wanna see.

Second to last boss fight was pretty good, I got my ass kicked for about two hours.

Then I found a really good method of finding his parry window, whenever he would swing forward he would swing forward and lunge at me again. I would dodge back of the first swing, then instantly shoot as he was going for the second lunge, giving me a V.Attack.

Last boss, which I guess is an old god or something, was pretty easy, but in nature of Souls games bosses aren't hard for the sake of being hard, they always fit in with the lore and story, so to have a final boss who is basically an old god pulling the strings not be the toughest fight is respectable.

I did see somebody use this strategy on YouTube.

Holy moly the cannon wrecks shit. Well, at least it did on the
celestial emissary
boss, who was a pushover.
You know what I love so much. When you level up a bit and you start dropping enemy's from old areas in one hit and you start having a bit of swagger in your step and then some dude walks up to you and rips your head off.
Those giant dudes can still f you up.

I just super cheesed that fucking hunter who killed E
ileen
and had crazy high health.

You can drop down behind him and slowly walk up to his back for a charge attack them visceral hit combo, then run up the stairs and escape up the ladder to safety. I did it five times.

Maybe he was that hard because my insight is up to 19? Maybe I should spend some of it.

If you have the
tonsil stone you get sent to a new area that leads to another new area with a secret boss.

Are you talking about the
Nightmare of Mensis? because I can't figure out where the way to the second level is and I've beaten Amygdala and unlocked all the doors on the first floor.

Yes :/

Not that upset, I'll have a crack at it in NG+. What I am upset about is motherfucking
Ebrietas. Seems like her favorite hobby is tearing me a new one.

The amount of people that get taken to
lecture hall
via being grabbed leads me to conclude you all need to dodge more :p

You have enough str to wield the cannon, so blondtinge might be good. Could level up arcane. But really just what weapon do you wanna use? That kinda determines what you wanna do next

So if
Arianna is dead and I never initiated her quest am I screwed for the proper ending? I've eaten two umbilical cord things.

I must have completely missed this Eileen lady everyone keeps talking about, I have no idea who she is or what her quest is. Oops?

So I'm running through the
Nighmares (there's 2 Nightmares? I exited from different doors from the School and got plonked in different places).

How long till the end? Would love to start an Arcane build.

it about doubles your dmg output with maxed bloodtinge

This weapon type is my second favorite in the series, I was about to buy it thinking it was a skill weapon. This burns, unless I say fuck it and just level up this character past 125 or whatever people want to cap at now.

anyone up for pvp fight clubs? If we manage to make co-op work. (you summon 2 people, one vileblood and the other executioner. and they fight)

Do frontier for an optional boss.
Metis leads to a lengthy base, at the top is a fight. That unlocks the final battle.

Does Bloodtinge increase gun damage? Maybe I'll do that. I want to make better use of guns but I'm worried I waited too long.
