If the mp is as good as 2 then I'm in. Ghosts was trash ans AW is definitely better but it doesn't pull me in and make me want to keep playing.
People are really not wanting another futuristic game already? There's been one futuristic call of duty game. Yeah blops2 and ghosts flirted with some future ideas but it wasn't until AW that they really went whole hog. There were four modern warfare games (in counting ghosts) I could handle a few more future games. I love the Exo suits.

Out of all the recent CODs, Black Ops II is the only one I haven't played that I'm actually interested to. I just really wish Activision would give it reasonable discounts on Steam every now and then because 30-40+ bucks for a 6h campaign from 3 years ago is NOT reasonable. Not even a little.

I wouldn't worry about the cross-gen thing. It is hugely unlikely Treyarch is doing anything but working on current gen hardware; if there is an old-gen thing it will be a port job by another studio like Forza Horizon 2 or Tomb Raider 2.

Call of Duty and FIFA are two games that continue to sell in the millions on old consoles. No way Activision doesn't put this out on ps3 and 360.

Current gen only would finally force people to upgrade... its win win for everyone.

I see no reason why the game has to be on last gen consoles.
The PS4 and Xone are already WAY ahead of the install base that the 360 and PS3 had when MW1 came out, and being next gen only would push hardware sales in a massive way. Plus people are already transitioning to next-gen far faster than anyone anticipated--to the point that developers have been cancelling last gen versions outright.

Blops 2 was great, I loved the past/future split and the choice stuff. The campaign still feels fresher than the one in AW.
just add callfoduty its much faster and easier.

Thank god. I really enjoy Treyarch's campaigns.
But not enough that I'd buy this game if it comes out within a month of Star Wars Battlefront.

That wouldn't preclude the game from coming to last gen consoles, though, if there's still a large number of people who play on them. They could probably port it relatively cheaply with a secondary studio. The numbers just have to balance out.
I get what you're saying and everything but this makes me giggle.
Saying that you'll be skipping Black Ops 3 if it's futuristic when Star Wars is as futuristic as it gets.

I wonder if they'll pursue last gen consoles for CoD. AW had another studio working on the PS3/360 version. It would probably benefit the series. I liked BO1 and I played the MP of BO2 quite a bit. I suspect this is coming out in the fall.
