Not much to say regarding the battle system based on the screens, but it doesn't seem like its going to work like the PSP version? That one had you using attacks that built "strength" but did no damage, and then you could use specific attacks that consumed that accumulated power to actually hurt the opponent. There is only a "break" gauge in this batch of screens though, sounds different.

I think it will (the bravery system).

In the bottom left you can see the character's bravery and in the top right you can see the stage bravery if you break the enemy.

I've never really dived into the series (I'd like to make up for it after I complete some Vita games I've been playing), but I think the lyrical/rock/vocal combo of some themes is freaking amazing: I love Cantata Mortis & God in Fire and I'm really into this new song as well

I'm really hoping (praying) that they change VAs for FFVII cast. FFVII has the worst voice acting I've heard. It's like, bottom of the barrel anime crap. I mean, source material isn't great either but still, I can enjoy the Japanese VAs but the English? Not a chance in hell.

Making Cloud look less brooding in this game is a step in the right direction.

Somehow this version of Cloud's head is less irritating than other post-Advent Children high quality models. Maybe it's the blanker, less emotive face and lighter shading under the jaw.

They've made his face look less sullen, larger nose area, more pronounced jaw, and given him a bit more muscle.

Which is more how I imagined him looking in Final Fantasy VII.

That's about how I always pictured him in my mind, think they did a fantastic job translating him to this model. If Sabin makes it in, they should do Zell as well. Between the lineage and the team, I feel this is in very good hands. Definitely interested now.

I think a lot of the games are going to get a new character, maybe even 2. Rinoa or Seifer should be in.

Of course Noctis is a shoe-in but I don't have a problem with that.

I wouldn't say that Noctis is a shoe-in. Unless he's a PS4 character and FFXV releases before the PS4 version does. Lightning nearly made it into the first game but they didn't want people to get the wrong impression on her abilities from her Dissidia moveset.

Of course he's going to be in the game, he's the protagonist of the next main FF, I think he will be revealed near the console release or near/after FFXV release.
