The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Nvidia video: Behind the Scenes with CD Projekt Red

I'm still not seeing anything better than the gameplay we've been seeing since January, aside from the glimpses of HairWorks and some scenes literally ripped from an old trailer.
Seriously CDPR, really show us some high-end pc stuff or don't do anything at all. This is just annoying.

I love good hair rendering.

Haven't they come out and said publicly that ultra settings won't be shown til the game ships?

I would assume that we will get a Nvidia trailer soon but that will be the extent of ultra settings.

What fps will a 980 get at 4k?

Or

What card/ combo of cards would I need for 4k with good fps(>30)?

The game isn't out yet, we don't know. Any answers you will get from anyone who hasn't had proper hands on with the game will likely be just speculating.

CD Projekt Red are relatively no-names in the console space. That is about to change. Glad to see their skill and talent over a variety of devices. They are still showing love to PC as well.

Aye, this is the first time they're launching a game simultaneously with PC on consoles and only their second game on consoles (their first game was The Witcher 2 on 360). However I'm not sure what relevance the consoles have in this thread about the PC specific features :p

Should be doable. I'm hoping for a mix of high and ultra at 4K on my 970 FTW. But we'll see. That would make it more optimized than The Witcher 2 whilst still looking a generation leap above it.

But if 1 980 can do Ultra 60fps at 1080p, than hopefully a 970 FTW can do at least high 30fps @4k.

Though I can see myself impulse buying a second 970 if it goes on sale.

What we should be worried about is SLI at release :(

I just want the game already. Stop posting videos, CDPR. :(

Hopefully, I won't have to sacrifice too much for ultra settings with my 970.

Come on 780ti. If I can 4k 30fps this game with no AA I'll freak out.

I don't think it's remotely possible seeing as I can't even 1080p 60fps the game on ultra (if a single 980 is the only thing that can do it). Don't really want to tone settings down, but we'll see. I picture another tweaking fest exactly like GTA 5.

Not to poo poo on an obviously great looking game, but it was incredibly easy to tell what was from earlier trailers vs now.

Damn, that looks good. Tempted to just play this and go back and play W2 after. It's not really a continuous world story right? W2 is just like "an adventure with Gerard" that I can enjoy as much after W3 than before it, right?

Not really no. It is a continuous story

No its been building up to this point, you'll still be able to enjoy it though

Mainly because early trailers had a sharpening filter and used coloration filters more in line with TW2.
I am still very curious to see people do side by side comparisons of that water clip when the game releases.

I think it is pretty clear some of that early footage looks better then anything we have seen since from a technical perspective.

maybe tomorrow it rains
They gave me a code for this with the 970 I got. Now I see that the plan was to get me to want an upgrade already.

I'm thinking about getting a 980 for this. When is the 1080 suppose to be released?

New AMD cards and the GTX980ti sometime in July-Sept probably. If we look at the previous Titan vs the 780ti then we can expect the 980ti to have 6GB of VRAM and be a bit faster than the Titan X in gaming performance.

I can't wait.

Wasn't the Part 3 video of Gamespot supposed to be released today? I'm sure it would be much more interesting as a whole than a video solely based on the PC version.

I'm hoping I can at least run this with hairworks on high'ish on my 780 (@ 1080p), even if I have to turn down AA a bit and things.
