Can't get anyone to come with me so I'm thinking of just going solo tomorrow, I don't give a fuck. I need to see this.

Those who've watched it, how would you differentiate it from the current glut of Hollywood blockbusters? Will be cool if you could list down short points.

God damn that was a good film. I mean, I had expectations, yeah, but I didn't expect this. It was like an adrenaline-rush straight into my veins - so perfectly shot, such a visual feast... And so, so visceral. THIS is how you do CGI, folks. You make it add flavor and visual touches, but you keep the central action grounded with practical effects, so that - no matter how freaky - it looks believable. And Mad Max looked absolutely believable, even though it was probably the craziest visual ride I have seen since... Well... I can't even remember.

I'm with the 99% that liked it, you just can't say that this movie is bad, it's actually well made and unique. I mean, we're not used to this kind of movies anymore, people (me included) are accustomed to movies explaining everything while this instead just throws you there. You don't even know what's the matter about people, I wanted to explore that world so much more! And instead Fury Road is really the longest car chase ever made. Even if you don't like the typical car chase (I normally hate it) this delivers.
So the only thing I didn't like was that I didn't feel involved in the story, the structure of the movie is so particular that I hardly felt attached to the characters. That's why I need to see it again, becuase I approached it with the wrong mood and it feels like a movie that gets better everytime.

This...was...brilliant! That was such a fucking hell of a ride. Seriously, I was so hyped and it fulfilled all on my expectations. One of the best action films of all time. There were so many awesome sequences it's too hard to pick out just one. Everything just clicked.

What an adrenaline-rush. I were probably holding my breath at some points, but after the movie, I could feel that was a very intense experience. I loved the character development, and how the whole world-building worked out with not much dialogue.

I don't know what more to say. I enjoyed the soundtrack tremendously, which I rarely do in movies, and it's surely the best movie I have seen this year so far.

Yeah, apart from the huge dust storm (which still looked awesome) the CG was just used to complement and blend with the practical effects in such a way that almost everything looked real and you forget there is even any CG there, even down to Theron's arm

Those who've watched it, how would you differentiate it from the current glut of Hollywood blockbusters? Will be cool if you could list down short points.

Weird as fuck for a start!
In terms of the action it's shot very differently. Lots of speeded up shots which make it look almost like an old silent movie. I imagine some people will hate that.
The action is almost quite slapstick too. People or things kind of bounce from one scenario to another causing a chain of chaotic events.

I wasn't feeling it at first, but as it progressed it just became more and more awesome. Excellent movie, will definitely watch again. Some of the later actions scenes had me rolling.

It's really nothing like current blockbusters. I mean, sure it has a couple of A-list actors, a big budget and it makes the most out of modern film-making technology. But it terms of style, story, dialogue, characters, exposition....it's very different. Jarringly so at first. It's like a mad, wacky, cult classic action film from a different era but injected with a Hollywood budget and with a genius at the helm.

I just got back. Look. I expected something entertaining, but this... this is some of the craziest shit I have ever seen. Real movie magic. WOW! HOLY SHIT.

Just came back. After the hype I expected a lot but the movie still managed to blow me away. Easily the best action flick in years. Great actors, amazing sound(track), mindblowing stunts and just the right amount of gore without overdoing it.

WATCH THAT SHIT !!

How?

HOW?

People are hyped through the roof, it shouldn't be humanly possible to justify any of this.

Because when they go through the roof, they see the craziest shit imaginable.

PLEASE BELIEVE. Go see this movie. See it in a theater, don't see it at home. You'll praise Jesus later.

And for those who have seen it, come party in the spoiler thread when you've recovered.

Yes!

Also the people responsible for the audio in this movie owe me a hearing aid.

People are only loving this movie because it's their first time in a long while they've seen a movie with mostly practical FX and stunts rather than CGI. All they see at the cinema are mediocre superhero movies. Filthy casuals.

Anyone who talks about appreciation of action in cinema and does not watch this in theaters is actively pissing on the future of action cinema. For real.

Last movie I watched was Django Unchained in 2013, your argument is invalid.

I saw your spoiler tag.

People are used to being disappointed by the endless cycle of hype. This is one of those extremely rare occasions where the thing being hyped actually is that good.

I wonder if this will blow me away as Raid 2 did. To me, it's the current best recent action movie to me and really did a lot of things right.

And kind a crazy how all impressions here are almost overwhelmingly positive just as the reviews; quality is king.

I'm not one to buy into hype, but man, you people are doing a good job. I hope this isn't a case like Gravity.

I'm actually excited to see it. A lot of positivity surrounding this movie.

Holy Hell.

The guy left from me in the theatre put it right: "That was..uh...extreme"

Now, give me that game, Warner/Avalanche!

Movie is so chaotic, yet well crafted at the same time. So many twists in the action scenes, had me grinning all the way. Max got shit done like a boss, took out a warboys for fun. Furiosa was a badass, Theron should do more action.

Stunts were absolutely mental, props to the stuntmen/women. Loved Nux humour, he was fucking chrome!

Holkenberg score pumped me up through out, and got real emotional in the quite scenes. Miller is a mad genius. A mastermind. Definite rewatch. 10/10

Other than having a hard on for flipping vehicles, there really isn't much similarity between Fury Road and Terminator 2. Very different styles of action movies.
