"Game Engine footage representative of all platforms"

Sadly this pretty much confirms that cops are in. Underground did not have police, and that was amazing.

The cops in Rivals were a pain in the ass... hopefully it won't be the case this time. I'm expecting a good NFS game by quite a long time.

How do you reboot "cars"

it's probably in-engine

It says in-game, if they're bullshitting I should certainly hope the games media rakes them over the coals for it. It's all well and good to complain about "downgrade controversy" but EA's gone and said "yep, consider this representative!"

I'm not saying they are or aren't bullshitting, but The Order had a lot of people thinking that had to be "in engine not ingame" and well it doesn't have prerendered anything and the real game just looks like that.

Youtube video is only 30fps. This could be telling, or it could mean absolutely nothing. Very disappointing if it's not 60fps.

You can make anything look good with shaky cam and give every shot a second before cutting into the next one.

Sony's Tweet about the game says it has fully customizable cars.

I like the sound of that, so far.

bish gets all the credit :)
In engine= running at 8k and supersampled to hell and back with extra motion blur.

Open world
Online/social features
Gritty story

Everything I hate in racing driving games. :(

lol....

Anyway, looks like Underground, although the lack of neon lights is disturbing.

What about "Neon Pack" pre-order DLC?

No way it's gonna look like this in final ver. though, but still good to finally have a NFS game worth hoping for

This game is running on the same stuff that's powering Battlefront 3 right? Once we see actual gameplay of one we'll probably know what the other looks like graphically. I hope it looks like this, but it will probably not.

...and that, kids, was the first time I sucked a dick for crack
"Representative" is the key word. I bet they're using it liberally and loosely too.

I wonder if Ghost Games will be retarded enough to cap the PC version at 30fps like they did for Rivals (cap which could be lifted with an engine command).

Will keep an eye on this game.

I remember the last NFS game that ran at 60fps on consoles.

I wait.

I don't.

Because there has never been one. Hell, going by Rivals, they are probably going to even lock the PC version at 30fps.

No way it looks like that in-game. Not sure why they had to lie. I'm extremely excited but I'm not falling for this. I'll believe it when we see a demo.

You should probably come to terms with the fact that we've already hit the point this gen where 30fps should be expected and we're really just holding out hope for 1080p and zero stupid frame pacing issues.

I didn't realize there was a single person expecting this to be 60 FPS especially after that trailer. We're talking about a series that had a 30 FPS lock on PC

Looking good! That in-game footage must be legit but no way the game will look like that on the final product. Sorry.

As everyone else is saying, there's no way actual gameplay (or even realtime replay mode) looks this good. Let alone the "representative of all platforms" nonsense.

I hope to god that I'm wrong and this winds up being the best looking game of all time, but EA's track record would indicate otherwise.

Always iffy of the "in-game" line, but seeing as its likely 30fps and how good rivals looked and how good Forza and Driveclub look, i don't see how they can't reach this videos visuals - now seeing if they actually do reach these visuals is another thing entirely.

Yes I am sure it runs on same updated version of Frosbite Engine which uses PBR now, used in Star Wars BattleFront. I can notice same materials.
