New patch for USF4 PS4 rolling out now

SF5 looks like it plays way different from 4, but its better than nothing for practice lol.

yeah I meant just to get more used to fighting game mechanics in general. I played through the story of Injustice a few months ago at least! I actually bought SF4 on Steam and played it for an hour or two. Would be more likely to actually play it on console though...maybe

Waiting for Gilley feedback on the new patch. Any word yet? D:

But rest of the problems? No clue.

I wonder if, once the game is patched up to a good standard, they could possibly be convinced to add things like opting out of actually playing in multiplayer lobbies (to make hosting tournaments easier and faster), quick rematch in two-player lobbies or offline Team Battle mode?

I'm sort of a medium core casual player but it does feel better.

Earlier, in a ranked match, I was able to jab a Honda headbutt on reaction.

Some people said it was unpatchable, now it seems like it will be tourney standard after EVO (or even before, but it won't be used at EVO because they can't change again and there's still the stick problem, sticking with the 360 version is still the best option for the players). Sony could've avoided all the bad PR just by delaying the game for three weeks, publishers need to use their heads a little more.

5.3 frames, wow it's amazing they managed to drop it down so quickly....now the question is, is that 5.3 with ps3 stick as well??

wowowow it feels like a completely different build. input lag is low, online lag has improved by leaps and bounds. All in all im no longer disappointed in my purchase.

I played a good amount of matches earlier and I like what I've seen. I'm now happy with my purchase.

Good on them for keeping at it and doing so in a timely manner.

I'm in no way defending launching the game in its original state. But if (big if, especially around latency) the issues stated in the patch notes have been address, these two patches, coming within 2½ weeks of the game launch, is pretty much unprecedented, no?

I can't remember any other game that launched in a similar state to get such a rapid turn around in patches.

It also shows they everything wrong with the launch game could have been addressed before release with better QA and a couple more weeks in the oven. It's not like the game was fundamentally broken like Driveclub or MCC.

I tested it when I got home from work and it feels pretty good. I also played Cobalt right away in a FT5. Our matches were a bit laggy before, but it was pretty good today. Don't know if this update had anything to do with it. But it looks like this version is in pretty good shape now. It still won't be used at EVO, SEA Major, or CEO. But I expect it to be the standard at Premier Events after EVO. But that won't be until September since the next one is at the Tokyo Game Show.

And now this game is within my radar. I hope they continue to improve this port, but at least at seems in the realm of acceptability.

Played a bunch of ranked matches and it feels great. The remote play on my vita is perfect.

Only issue I had was having some issues finding matches but closing and opening the game fixed that.

They still need to fix the online bars, the lag when you press online, and rooms closing when the host leaves. Also graphics

Feels great, the lag is gone, hitting links feels so good right now. Online feels more stable as well even with lower bars. If they decrease the lag a tad better it may be even better still, but please, get us 16xAF on all stages and get us some decent AA in this game.

Kinda makes me wish everyone hadn't been so outrageous and just waited to see what the first few patches would do. We aren't too far out from launch. But still, it was wrong to release it in the state they released it in.

when i say they i mean the publisher. who is working with the developer (meaning both parties new about this shit)
its insane that sony wouldn't have held back a few weeks considering the stupid bad pr everyone got over this stuff

That isn't how it works with any game now. This is a very common practise for publishers to be aware of the faults but have deadlines to meet so push the games out regardless. The idea of "just holding it back a few weeks" has a mighty impact and while it's shitty for broken games to be released it has now become acceptable to depend solely on patches and it's unlikely to change :(
