He's really not, because I imagine the ballot is going to be used going forward, when it's actually finished. These characters are nothing to do with the ballot.

I just re-read that & noticed they mentioned SHOVEL KNIGHT.
Yeah, no, I really liked the game, but in comparison to the 3rd party guests we've had already, he's easily the least known. Plus the Sony & MS versions got extra content with their OWN characters (Kratos & Battletoads).

What I meant was that Ike is the same from brawl, Marth and Roy are the same as well, and lucina is a new character but she is another Marth. Robin not only is brand new but also original. Lucina should have had her own unique moves at the very least, and the older characters maybe tweak a bit. If it was only Marth and Roy the same then fine, plus they came from melee. But lucina being brand new, she deserved her moves, plus she is nothing like Marth in awakening

I serious can't see how some people are so upset about Ryu. It's one thing to call him a boring addition, but to act like this is some huge stretch by Nintendo and Sakurai is just silly. I'm looking forward to the DLC (bar Roy). Like others here I'm just hoping the Rhythm Heaven DLC isn't attached to any stage but just floating in the code kind of how the Miiverse songs have been already.
As far as I'm aware Miiverse already has six songs lined up, so we'll see.

Ryu’s voice files essentially confirm the presence of a super meter/EX mechanic, and I’m incredibly happy about that. Here’s how I figured it would work a few months back:
Dishing out damage and getting hit builds your super meter, which has three segments. EX Specials are performed by holding the B button instead of tapping it, and they deplete one bar of the super meter. Hold B for the Shakunetsu Hadoken (flaming fireball), side B for the EX Tatsumaki Senpukyaku (covers more distance for a good horizontal recovery), and up B for the EX Shoryuken (covers more distance for a good vertical recovery). Holding B with a full super meter unleashes the Shinku Hadoken, a powerful multi-hitting projectile.

See, this stuff just makes me sad anymore.
So much hate thrown at this man despite all of the incredible work he puts into these games. Smash 4 now has over 50 characters! It's ridiculous.
It'd be easier to ignore if this was all just dumb immature kids, but we see a decent amount of this (though better hidden) even here on NeoGaf. Poor Sakurai.

There are indeed two Rhythm Heaven songs in the patch, and it might be happening, but we're not out of the woods yet - there's a chance they could be used for the Miiverse stage, which would kill all of our dreams.
But if they're not used in Miiverse... the Rhythm Heaven hype will be unstoppable.

Lucina was never going to be an original character, she's just an upgraded costume for Marth.

Lucina wouldn't have been in the game as a playable character at all if she was anything but a clone. Sakurai explained this already.

I get some people being mad about Roy, but I feel like they're going to try and add everyone from past games. Totally won't be surprised if we get Wolf, Ice Climbers, Ivysaur, and Squirtle at this point. Pichu...haha, we'll see! Would be cool for no one to be cut once the DLC is all said and done.

I still wonder how to get shakunetsu and shinkuu tatsumaki, I guess hold B button? Or maybe he has an ex bar and when he performs the final smash with a full ex bar he does shinkuu hadouken instead?
