E3 2015 | Nintendo Treehouse Live @ E3

I didn't mean for it to be released on another console. I meant that if the Wii U wasn't dead it would live longer and there would be more games like this one.

I can see your point, but I am not sure. The Wii U have a few good games this year and they've been quiet about next year. But even when Nintendo have a more popular system oddball games like this are rare. I can't even think of a game on the Wii that comes close to comparing.

Watch Da Birdie

I buy cakes for myself on my birthday it's not weird lots of people do it I bet
They still haven't uploaded the Paper Jam footage to Youtube, I really want to see that (and hear it, more so...)

Nice concept art.

Yeah, they are rare. I'm glad that they are bringing this here.

Is there a schedule of the Treehouse? I have to head out for a moment and I don't want to have to miss Mario Tennis if they show it

They should have gone with one of those other ideas for the Mario Yoshi. He looks like he skinned and made an outfit out of Mario right now

I've preordered the Yarn Amiibo, still haven't decided if I will open up the box. :)

Game looks awesome. Nintendo sure knows how to pick an art style.

Love these concept images.

Seriously, as long as they have Treehouse Live Nintendo will never truly be able to have a disastrous E3 for me.

Logged onto my PS4 to start watching the Treehouse through the YouTube app, requested my age today.

I can see why though, that Mario Yoshi... Terrifying.

those yoshi amigurumi amiibo are still as adorable as the first time they showed them.

EDIT: there's suddenly a very loud acoustic guitar song playing during the Treehouse stream? Is that the stage music? It's drowning pretty much everything else.

SMTxFE looks generally poor, despite an interesting battle system.

Yarn Yoshi, on the other hand, looks INCREDIBLE.

Wasn't hyped for it yesterday because we've already known about it, but the level they played at the world championships had me stressed as hell just watching it.

This gameplay looks just as incredible.

It looks like, in addition to great graphics and art style, they actually give a shit about making a Good Yoshi game again!

I am so hyped for this game.

The music sounds very weird right now. Are there two songs at once? Maybe it's the combination with SFX and them talking over it.

Now that I've had more time to think about it, Nintendo has a pretty good lineup of hardcore Japanese games between now and next spring: Devil's Third, Fatal Frame U, Xenoblade Chronicles X, Fire Emblem Fates, Bravely Second, SMT x Fire Emblem. They could have packaged them together in that Direct fairly easily and emphasized how they're coming in the near future (unlike Sony's big hitters). There's not a huge audience for this stuff, but you balance it with Super Mario Maker, Star Fox, Mario & Luigi, Yoshi, Yokai Watch, Chibi Robo, Animal Crossing, and the other family friendly titles, and Nintendo actually has a nice selection of games. The delivery was just so god-awful.

You know, I keep hearing that, but I don't see what was so awful about the delivery. It was really the lack of surprises for the Wii U that disappointed me, although I got over it when I realize all the game coming out this year and the 3DS had next to no first-party games this year besides STREAM and a port of Xenoblade.

Have they mentioned whether Super Mario Maker comes with any premade levels besides the NWC ones? It'd be a little disappointing if it was nothing but a toolset

I'm curious about Skylanders Wii U

- Skylanders already sold decently on Wii U going by rankings
- Amiibo is actually a hot property right now, which explains them wanting to partner with it
- They probably want to push these and see where it goes.

So my question is about advertising. I wonder if the Wii U version would get it's own marketing or ads? And if so, how well it would perform.
Or would it be the regular commerical and then a tidbit at the end "And use Bowser and Donkey Kong exclusively for Wii U version" or something.

I assunme Activ does the advertising so it'd be weird for someone else to be advertising a Nintendo feature heh.

The frame rate is definitely the stream, not the game. Yoshis wooly world normally doesn't look like this.

yea

Yeah they announced those levels would be included. They actually announced it with the members of the treehouse team that made the levels present (they had no idea their levels were going to be shipped with the game) It was a nice little moment.

Boss looks like another jinx by Kamek, trapped in ice.

Where the heck is that guitar music coming from? I can't hear very well what they're saying.

The guitar is the lovely in game music. The show floor background noise makes it grating. But it's fine now.
