Curious what similar free games through PS+ or Games with Gold garner in downloads if anyone has more examples(?). Always curious about how many downloads these free games get.

PC version's fine. This is one of those weird threads where a game I played on PC ages ago and enjoyed apparently came out on consoles at some point and everyone hates it, like Tower of Guns.

Terrible UI, absolutely impossible to win even on the easiest difficulty for novice players like me. Deleted it after a few minutes of trying to play.

I own the Steam version and this it's a fantastic pool game.

Great visuals. Great ball physics.

And it got a lot better when I started toggling off the visual aids.

Nice package, all told.

Pool Nation FX is the sequel that hasn't been released on other platforms yet (coming at some point).

It originally released in an unfinished state to meet the Games with Gold deadline. Since then it's been patched many times and is a decent game now.
You can safely ignore anyone that has an extreme opinion on the game.

That means there are two sides to this story. One on hand it's unbelievable exposure for the six person Cherry Pop Games team from Salford, UK. But on the other hand, the vast majority of those downloads were for free.

"The majority unpaid unfortunately," Cherry Pop spokesperson Gemma Jessop told me. "I would like to say that we make a fortune out of it but we won't be driving around in Ferraris any time soon.

New n Tasty on PS+ reached a similar number (2.5m I think) in 1 month, was revealed by Lanning in a stream where he announced the sequel.

They've actually been supporting the game quite well with patches and content.

You can rag on them for releasing the game in a poor state, and for the fact that the game has been GwG for 3 months (both which very well can easily be attributed to MS), but saying they have been closing their ears is just a downright lie.
