Considering capcom outlined doing HD remaster as a priority interest, chances are this could work out. Sure it would be a lot more work than an HD remaster but it fits right in with their current corporate ideology.

Color me excited.

RE3 is the RE4 of the original trilogy, a Rambo game only there to wrap things up and move on. By all intents and purposes, CV is the real RE3.

If this is what we are thinking it could be.. it would be years off (unless they made it and never shipped it- unlikely). I wonder how long the GC remake took originally? This, if made from fresh now, would at least have a proper 16:9 display

RE2 would definitely be better off REmake style instead of RE4 style. RE3 could actually work either way I feel.

RE3 is definitely one of the least liked of the classic RE games alongside RE0. However, the people that like those games REALLY like them.

I hope Capcom isn't afraid to charge a bit more in order to justify high production values. A modern HD remake should look at least as good as RE0HD and that game looks downright phenomenal. A $30 price tag would be A-okay by me.

It's gonna be a full fledged remake and therefore taking longer than a simple HD remaster of already a remake or a Gamecube title like 0. I fully expect it to be ready around its 20th anniversary though.

RE3 was a pretty weird direction really. Not only it didn't continue where the previous games left off, it also took place before RE2.
Code Veronica was the real RE3 for me.

If it is basically REmake 2 with slight game play tweaks like Crimson Heads and a more dynamic Mr X then do want.

If they plan on doing anything other than that or try and modernize it then they shouldn't bother.

Resident Evil 2 is my favorite game of all time. Please don't fuck this up Capcom.

The big question though is would a RE2 Remake sell as well as the main line stuff now?
Only time will tell. Since i'm assuming they would push this as a 60 dollar title and not digital only.

Well, the guys says he's been putting ideas together for since he wrapped up the Remake Remaster. I think it's pretty save to say he's been orienting himself on the Remake if he puts it like this, no?

No, probably not. It won't have the same production costs, either, so the sales pressures should be lower.

I'd love to know the production budget for RE6. No idea what the in/out was there
