bol.com, a well respected Dutch online shop, just reported on twitter that the MGSV:TPP collector's edition for Xbox One has been cancelled in the Benelux (Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg). They gave no reason for the cancellation.

The PS4 CE is still coming.

So far no word from other retailers, but these guys are usually trustworthy... Hope no one here was affected .

Also - what the hell is going on with all these sudden CE cancellations recently?

Update: Looks like Nedgame (Dutch retailer) is cancelling PS4 CEs now. At least two persons confirmed they received an email saying that the store won't be getting any collector's editions of the game and their orders were cancelled as a result. Wording is a bit dodgy but sounds like the entire shipment was cancelled by Konami.

Not the same thing. This was in the UK and the reason behind the 370 cancellations was because of a technical issue.

Game has issued a statement clarifying that up to 370 customers have been "incorrectly charged," resulting in cancellations. The statement pertains to the standard edition of the game and does not, however, mention the collector's edition.

"Regrettably, due to a technical issue with our computer systems, 370 customers who pre-ordered the Metal Gear Solid V standard edition have had their orders incorrectly charged," a spokesperson said.

"Our customer service and store teams are currently working to contact all those impacted and refund any over payment. We apologise for any inconvenience caused."

GameSpot has contacted the retailer for further clarification, specifically on the collector's editions.[UPDATE ENDS]

Update: they're responding to tweets now and they just said that "it's drama in the entire EU region with this edition".

With the GAME UK cancellations... I'm starting to fear it's not just the Benelux that's affected.

Yesterday i got a e-mail from my local store saying my collector's edition is delayed for about 2 weeks because Konami had to print something new.

All PS4 CE's are affected.

Perhaps they've gone back to "A Hideo Kojima Game" and need to re-print the boxes and cases that are specially made for the Collector's Edition?

With regular boxes, it's simply a printer issue and get GAME and other retailers to swap out the inserts, so that wouldn't slow down regular editions.

X1 CE Dutch for MGSV is cancelled indeed. Konami somehow lost their stock.

They probably didn't have enough sold in to warrant a production of X1 CE Dutch Stock and were to late to produce additional units for a swap. (UK > NL)

But i already pre-ordered the day 1 edition because there is no way i will wait another 2 weeks for this game, i'm also not cancelling my CE, this is Kojima's last Metal Gear game ever so i want all the extras i can get. Snake's arm will get a special place.

No one is getting there game early as many retailers have been told to not ship the game till Saturday by Konami,your order probebly says it's shipped but sitting in a warehouse till Saturday for dispatch. Shopto was one of the stores that confirmed with me this was the case with the standard edition.

Simply Games have confirmed orders have been shipped today. Game Collection have said they'll ship as soon as they receive and are hoping it will be tomorrow.

Yeah, I mean even if Konami asked nicely, from a stores perspective, they have a choice to make their customers really happy OR annoy Konami which could be an issue with getting Konamis future games. You know, that big long list of planned games they're bringing.

As I wrote in MGS thread, even in Italy some retailers are deleting pre-order for MGSV CE due to payment issue. I got my order deleted because of thise, Paypal sent Gamestop a payment request, Gamestop refused it and they deleted my order without providing an answer to the ticket I submitted.

I read from Gamestop's Facebook page other retailers in Italy are canceling pre-orders for CE too, but I can't confirm this since they were just users talking about this.

My case was due to a payment issue, it seems (Gamestop didn't accept my money from Paypal, dunno why), Multiplayer.it orders aren't related to payment issues, they just deleted orders.
I don't know about other people posting on Gamestop's Facebook, as I wrote some of them got their orders deleted due to a payment issue, other people have their payment pending.

@OP: Nedgame.nl is also calling costumers to cancel their PS4 CE's. It seems a stock problem.
