What's Grand Sphere?
Grand Sphere is a card battle RPG developed by Silicon Studio (Bravely Default devs). Players journey to the world of Astrum, a world where Spheres and the energy contained inside of them dictate the course of history, to take up the fight against the evil Dark Spheres. You have 5 units to take into battle and have to defeat monsters using a combination of special skills, elemental strengths/weaknesses, and spheres, which are special balls of energy that provide varios bonuses every turn

How much content is there?
A bunch, in addition to the lengthy single player campaign, players can also participate in player vs player battles, raids where you team up with other players to defeat powerful bosses at specific times, in addition to more content in the future

Pay to win?
Nah, though they do seem to be a bit more stingy with stones than in the jp version, so if you wanna get rare units super quickly you might have to open up dat wallet a bit

Really wanted to like this but holy shit, the loading screens are unbareable. It literally has a loading screen for launching a special attack in the middle of a battle. Ridiculous.

47 rerolls ( 9 of them was when 4*-5* event started) and I didn't saw 5* at all. Ugh. Gatcha rates is so bad.

I started last sunday, aim was to get 4* from reroll. I did get it and few days later they announce that event where you can get atleast 4* (2 pulls). So now I have 4/4/4/3 team.

Targeting sucks cause you can only choose one opponent and everyone attacks to it until its dead. There are orbs that target multiple enemies tho.

I've played a bunch of these games and in my impression being F2P doesn't really hinder you in the end, most of the time the conversion rate between $$$ to actual viable units is so high that "normal" (not whales) payers won't really be that strong compared to a free player, sometimes there are also events which allow you to obtain strong cards for free, those will probably allow you to at least complete all the content.

Maybe yes. I really wanted to have at least one 5* but alas. In this game you can upgrade any card rarity two times and as I read somewhere stats are almost the same as original card of that rarity.

Only 5* card can be upgraded up to 7* and it's the strongest one in the game.

Its not that rare. I think I'll do it too.

I hope that special scout event wont finish while I'm farming additional 1k gems.

I have rolled friend points gatcha and pulled some 2* green cards. Levelled them using 1* and cleared that stage.

Maybe replay the first stage, you can get some earth cards for the chests that drop. Only managed to get 2* for the water stages so far, keep going over the turn limit.

Currently playing Dragon Blaze, and I don't see myself dropping that game any time soon, but I'll give this a go and see how it is.

Edit: The game is okay, I guess. I like the gameplay, but the visuals are sub-par (Dragon Blaze has spoiled me), loading is horrible, and the story seems terrible so far. Will play a bit more, but I'll probably drop it.

Farmed my first 500 gems for special scout... Sadly according to jp wiki she is a bad 5* but whatever, its a 5*.

EDIT.
Also I have find out that evolving enchanter cards is slightly efficient than to use them as 3*. 3* gives to the same colour 6k while 4* (total cost 3x3* enchanters) gives 19200.

Then I have hosted the bounty with all my tickets. When you host random players will join the raid(?). You can also create friend only lobby or password protected. So after the battle you can add other players to your friend list. I recommend to do it because all that 2* reroll accounts don't help much to clear the stages.

I'm not sure but I think that friend card max lvl is average lvl of your party.
