The voting thing was just a scheme to get more money. I expect the rest of the ladies to be added eventually. I'm almost convinced that Tecmo introduced Honoka as some sort of social experiment specifically to mess with people who complain about Marie Rose.
For Japan and Asia, yes.
If you want to hold out hope for X1 if/when they announce the localization that's up to you.
DOA5 has shown them there's precious little they can't get away with as far as re-releases and DLC are concerned.

But what I'm really seeing here is that small breasts = childish. Huge breasts = not childish.
That's all kinds of disturbing to me since my issue with both characters is that they are both immature and childish Characters in personality and mannerisms and the sexual objectification of both is gross.
But I guess a pair of breasts is all it takes to make it not pedophilia. As if there aren't small breasted women and large breasted young girls.

The base may be the same, but they are still different.
She is far curvier than Marie Rose is. If you were to make her chest the same size as Marie Rose's they would still look different.

That's how I feel about it. I wouldn't have a problem with those characters if they didn't have personalities like kids. And then Marie Rose takes it even further by dressing like one too.
You're totally right. Upping the breasts and hips slider to 100, but keeping them almost the same height, with almost the same hair, and the exact same face makes them entirely different.
So since Honoka has breasts and hips, but still acts as childish as Marie Rose, it's okay. Because breasts.

When did I ever say anything about being "okay"? I am disagreeing with this argument I often see: "Honoka's body = Marie Rose's body with breasts, therefore it doesn't make sense to say Marie Rose is NG but Honoka is OK".
The reality is Honoka's body is more "developed" than Marie Rose's, even ignoring the chest, so I don't think it is a fair argument.
I'm not saying that I personally think one is bad and the other is not, I am getting this game for Marie Rose after all, but if people are uncomfortable with the way Marie Rose looks but are alright with Honoka, then I don't think there is anything inherently wrong with that because they do have different body types.

People are going to like what they're going to like. So long as it doesn't get much worse than Marie Rose and Honoka in doa6, then I'm not too upset. I can ignore then. When it gets worse, then it'll be time to admit I'm no longer part of this game's demographic.
Honoka/Marie Rose stuff will forever amuse me, though.

It's certainly interesting that she won. I wouldn't jump to any conclusions about what that says about people who voted for her though, for example:
- She is technically 18 in the game. I actually personally know several very cute Asian girls that have similar looks/body shape/personality to her, that are over 20, some are even coming up on 30 years old. Is everyone who dates that kind of girl a creeper? hell no, simply because a girl has small breasts and looks and acts kind of stereo-typically Asian cute/childish, doesn't mean that it's wrong to lust over or date them.
- Many of the people who voted for her in the poll could be younger, as in 14-18 years old. There's certainly nothing wrong with younger gamers being fond of girls their age.
- Maybe a lot of people just like Petite, small breasted women, and the stereotypical curvy/big breasted women videogames tend to portray, aren't as popular as people assume. So there is a slight upside (yay for people liking a variety of body shapes).
Having said that, there is certainly a potential creep factor to her winning. I'm sure there is a small demographic of people with podo tendencies that certainly voted her up, I'm just skeptical that the majority that voted for her have those tendencies.
It also helps that they're just polygons and not actual people, but opening that can of worms is probably a whole different thread.

All the DOA5 girls (all of them) very obviously started as one model that's been slightly changed to slightly differentiate each girl.
It's very, very obvious they're not all made from scratch. TN is pushing the industry boundaries of asset re-use. Look at the DLC.
Look at Marie and Honoka having literally the same face.
