A peek at one of the craziest tombs in Rise of Tomb Raider

IGN put up a video of a peek at apparently one of the craziest tombs in the upcoming Rise of Tomb Raider.

The timed platforming near the end looks to be neat.

Game is looking superb. Really can't believe I'll have to wait an entire year for this on PS4.

Nice to see that they are focusing a bit more on the tombs and puzzles aspect of the franchise.

Games looks greatl

Lara is Spiderman now?

They're showing a lot of this. I don't think that's a great idea. That being said, this is the first video I've watched in a bit, it's actually kind of cool. I look forward to picking it up eventually when I can. I also really like the reboot game, despite it's flaws in combat focus. This seems to be striking the more palatable balance.

Are these optional like in the first game? Since from recollection most were in TR. I really don't want to spend my time on puzzles sorry everyone.

Btw does Lara in this have the original reboot face or that hideous man-face from the definitive edition?

Or is it different altogether?

It looks good, but I'd need to see the full thing, not edited into a two-minute video. This kind of platforming and actual environmental puzzling is what I missed from TR2013, and was my favourite part of TRAnniversary.

I'll pick this up eventually and don't want to spoil this. Sounds like an provement over tr1s tombs, which is great

I blame myself for looking at way too much footage of the game.

I wish I was strong enough to have gone into full blackout long ago.

Oh well with the game releasing 5 months or so later on PC I was going to get spoiled anyway.

TR2013 was pretty good. Bought the remastered edition. Loved the tombs because the puzzles were good! Everything involving collectibles was a pain in the ass though.

Is MS really only allowing it on Windows Store? And what date? Rather play this and F4 on my PC with maxed out settings. Well for most 3rd Party anyway. Can't wait.

How is it not raiding tombs?

:P

Especially in this video, they seem to be doing a pretty good job at appealing to the title.

That's not Tombraider, that's Sly Cooper. It doesn't matter how fantastical a tomb is or how incredible the mechanisms are for navigating them, they MUST at least stay within the realms of possibility so that they feel grounded. This is just platforming for platforming sake.

That video made my wait so much easier.

The reboot was pretty silly in that regard, too.

Plenty of unbelievable stuff. I think it's why I don't like the serious tone of the game, set against it's ridiculous events.

Looks like a jumbled, uninspired mess of level design. Nothing in this video managed to elevate my hype levels which are at medium right now. I'm still sure the game will be fun for a playthrough, though.

Camilla Luddington bad as always.

Yep, that's what I want from Tomb Raider. I mean the shooting and stabbing stuff is great, but big complex three dimensional puzzles? Fucking love it.

I'm still pissed off by the timed exclussivity deal on the least popular platform thing mind (especially given that it means it's still a year off for me), but there's every chance this might end up being my game of the year.

Just, sadly, next year.

Cool I guess, but it still doesn't hold a candle to the real tombs from the older Tomb Raider games. It's still incredibly small.
I liked the previous TR for what it was, but it was sure no "Tomb Raider".
