Nasty stutters and blank screens for a few seconds while playing since the latest update, not good.

System is now borderline unusable.

I think the latest update may have some issues. I just walked into my living room, my Xbox has updated itself overnight and switched my TV on (it's sat at dash).

Also my pins are gone. Reboot time.

Timed it, every 4-5mins it happens, am I the only one with this issue?

Submitted a report because my system is pretty much a paperweight in this state.

Have you tried doing a hard power cycle? I tested H5 for 30 minutes and can't recreate the issue so far.

Recently booted up my 360 and still love that OS. It's so handy and snappy.

Also, did anyone here have their Xbox LIVE years active disappear?

I recently got a new TV, and moved my old TV and 360 to the bedroom. Using the 360 again was a revelation - it's very very quick, everything just works and is a click away. Sad, really.

Me! I get no number now. It's a newish bug.

I've just returned how at lunch and my XB1 is fine. What resolution are you running at? Colour depth?

Could you get a video?

Well, before I left for work I adjusted some settings, but didn't have time to check if they'd made any difference.

I can't remember what the settings were before th NXE update this morning, but I can tell you this.

It was set to autodetect output, so I change it to HDMI, which dropped the res down, I reselected 1080p, colour depth also dropped to 24-bit, I am fairly sure I had it set to 36-bit prior to the update.

I also turned off Simplink on my TV, so I'll check again tonight if any of that has helped.

I'll try and get a video as well.

Good stuff. I'll have a look on the forums and see if I can find anybody else with the problem.

Re Fallout 4 - my understanding is titles are certificated on NXE now (it launches two days after FO4).

Guys with the preview, is this comparable to the 360 OS at all ? So efficient, clean and focused compared to the current xbone one

Why did your TV switch on? HDMI CEC for Xbox is something I've been dreaming of.

It's faster, but still not as fast as the 360. The new snap menu is great. You don't have to "open" the Friends list anymore and starting/inviting to a party takes seconds now.

This was one of the reasons why I disabled Simplink on my TV, I wondered if the new update had some (maybe incomplete) code for HDMI CEC in it, which was causing my black screen issue,.

I'm still not impressed with this "New XBox One Experience". The main UI I think has changed for the worse. Pins or should be in place of the recently played boxes which makes no sense going vertical. They should be going horizontal with a limit far greater than just four boxes but that fact you have to scroll past those four boxes annoys me, regardless of the fact you can press the triggers.

This is a better design or basically how the store is designed. The Tomb Raider ad would serve as the current game/app being played. That doesn't have to change from what it is in the current design, but the horizontal "pin" boxes would replace the vertical "recently played" boxes and "My games & Apps" right below it.

I'm not even sure a recently played option is needed when you have pins but if some people cant do without those four vertical boxes then let that be the option when you click the right trigger as it should no longer be needed with "My stuff" closer to the top.

To be honest the new UI is completely locked in now for the long term. There will be monthly tweaks like before, but it will be a few years before it changes much again.

Ugh, that sounds terrible and I wouldn't want to use what you're suggesting.

Good, this UI is nearly perfect if you ask me. Don't understand how anyone could be against it or prefer the old UI.

It's kind of awkward at first, but after getting used to it, I can't say I agree. I use the recent apps space more than just about anything. I'm a multitasking fool. Also, the horizontal space in each recent app tile can be used for 3 (or more?) contextual shortcuts. They're not always populated, which is why it sometimes seems like wasted space.

Any UK GAF watch Sky through their Xbox? Mine is really glitchy like it's displaying it at 60hz instead of 50hz, even though 50 is selected. This problem has only occurred since changing to the new dash I think.

Yup, insane stuttering for about 20 minutes and then it settles down.

Nice to know I am not alone! And yes 360 is the epitome of an efficient and quick OS for a console.

people saying that the 360 is quick really surprise me... mine (360S) takes about 5-10 minutes just to sign in... then it lags when navigating the menu. :( i guess mine just has issues...

I still think that the concept of live tiles would have been better : Keep the small squares and have looping information appear in them if there's anything worth mentioning. And access hub or DVR through a list triggered by the menu button. It's more efficient than having permanent links or empty spaces most of the time.

Nah, that's the store-tab. All that stuff does not belong there.

no thats how it is. i think people are looking through nostalgia

what 360 does best is the important stuff are usually very easy to get to, a dashboard you dont need a manual for lol but it was dreadfully slow operating wise,

The old 360 blade style interface was the king. Way faster and not inundated with ads.

Agreed, I have been very vocal about my dislike for this new dashboard in terms of design but the team at Xbox obviously have a different vision for it and theirs is the one that matters at the end of the day

Maybe try to update your controller. I had a controller update today and also one a few days ago, no idea what they did but it's worth a shot.
