Master of None starring Aziz Ansari - Netflix Series - S1 out now; S2 coming in 2017

LiQuid!

This doesn't seem like my kind of show at all but something is making me want to check it out to support Aziz in a leading role. I've been a fan since Human Giant and I haven't been able to follow him on Parks and Rec because I find it insufferable. Last time I checked out a Netflix show that didn't seem like "my kind of show" I got 13 magical episodes of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, so it doesn't hurt to give it a whirl.

You found Parks and Rec insufferable but enjoyed Kimmy Schmidt? That kinda blows my mind. Exact opposite for me.

Anyway yeah I'm definitely going to check out the show.

Interested in checking this out, but goddamn if I never see another review of a comedy mention Louie it will be too soon.

Episode One was a promising start, outside
the sandwich bit
the end there weren't any laugh out loud moments but I enjoyed it, good dialogue and nice cinematography.

*edit* when I searched for the show on the Xbox 360 Netflix app, 'Mast' brings up 'The Master of Disguise' and a picture of Dana Carvey in brown face.

The pilot felt kinda shaky to me but a lot of reviewers point out that it's their least favorite episode of the ten so I'm gonna jump right into episode 2.

I've got one at least one more for you...

- Warming Glow: Aziz Ansari’s Netflix Series ‘Master Of None’ Is Thoughtful, Funny, And Really, Really Good
All in all, it’s a really promising show, and a really interesting turn for Ansari. It’s warm, fun, and serious, and incredibly binge-able. And if you really insist on that Louie comparison from before, let’s say this: Louie is a show about someone saying “Okay, what do I do now?” Master of None is a show about someone saying “Okay, what do I do next?”

Is this family friendly? Like Parts and Rec or the Office?

Lots of sex talk in the first episode, so if that is any indication, be prepared for a lot of adult conversations and scenarios.

Dude...

This show is actually pretty good

The vibe is definitely a Louie type of flavor but not as depressing. Aziz has something special here.

I mean it IS like Louie in the sense that it's a show by a stand up comic that deals more with real interactions, relationships, life and whatnot. While going through definetly funny situations but with ground to them. Obviously grabbing from their real life experiences.

not any surreal fantastical woody allen aspects like Louie tho
