Bruno, do you have a CoD series comparison like the one for Halo? I only have numbers going back to Blops (2010).

Pic doesn't work! EDIT: Oh shit it's a Brucie Bonus!

So Bruno said >660k with 5% tolerance and he's usually on the money soooo I'll go low end with 630k.

This is far more fun than it has any right to be

Your math is broken lol.

PS3 version of Black Ops III is over Need for Speed XB1 which sold 18,900.

Since PS3 version is 3% of total sales:
18,900 / 3 = 6,300 x 100 = 630,000
So, BO III is at least over 630k

Just saying, i get you'r point. :p

BO III sold much less than what many guys expect.

About Halo... ouch. At least it have digital sales. :p

Yeah, let's not get into the digital sales issue again but.....

I'm sure if Halo benefited from increased digital sales then COD will have too. We need to be careful comparing established franchises against "all time best seller" lists when earlier instalments weren't available digitally.

Whoops, nearly forgot my [insert anecdotal evidence/all my friends have gone digital evidence here].

Question, blops3 was front loaded on two days

How much does a game usually sell the remaining 5 days in a opening week?

Bruno, do you have a CoD series comparison like the one for Halo? I only have numbers going back to Blops (2010).

Code:
[Week 45, 2007] CALL OF DUTY 4: MODERN WARFARE (ACTIVISION) -
[Week 46, 2008] CALL OF DUTY: WORLD AT WAR (ACTIVISION BLIZZARD) -
[Week 46, 2009] CALL OF DUTY: MODERN WARFARE 2 (ACTIVISION BLIZZARD) - 1,780,000 (90%)
[Week 45, 2010] CALL OF DUTY: BLACK OPS (ACTIVISION BLIZZARD) - 2,000,000 (90%)
[Week 45, 2011] CALL OF DUTY: MODERN WARFARE 3 (ACTIVISION BLIZZARD) - 1,970,000 (90%)
[Week 46, 2012] CALL OF DUTY: BLACK OPS II (ACTIVISION BLIZZARD) - 1,540,000 (90%)
[Week 45, 2013] CALL OF DUTY: GHOSTS (ACTIVISION BLIZZARD) - 690,000 (90%)
[Week 45, 2014] CALL OF DUTY: ADVANCED WARFARE (ACTIVISION BLIZZARD) - 730,000 (95%)
[Week 45, 2015] CALL OF DUTY: BLACK OPS III (ACTIVISION BLIZZARD) - 635,000 (95%)

There is a certain margin of error for Ghosts and Advanced Warfare, it is hard to be extra accurate with such a big numbers, even something as small as 2 - 3% margin of error translates into a couple tens of thousands units.

For Call of Duty: World at war I only have the 3 week LTD number for Xbox 360 (332,000) and PS3 (245,000). First week should be around 315,000 not including PC, PS2 and other platforms (I don't remember if it was released on more platforms on its launch week)

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare was outsold by Call of Duty: World at War by more than 2 to 1.

I think even if you take in to consideration the loss of those 3 days and what will be a higher digital split this year, CoD is still down a lot since Black Ops II and before. However, not really declining much, if at all? since the start of this gen.

Don't worry too much about the Ghosts/AW numbers, they're accurate enough. BO/MW3/BO2 are all a little high though.

It's weird because those numbers are taken from Chart-Track press release note, they must have been adjusted.

Even with only 2 days for Black Ops III first week, at the end of second week probably will remain below Advanced Warfare.

That's very disappointing if actually happen.
