Rock Band 4 |OT| We're Putting The Rock Band Back Together

Hi, I'd appreciate your help on picking up a new guitar.

I currently have the RB1 guitar and it's kinda falling apart.
I looked at a second hand website and found 2 options:

The first, which is roughly 25$ and appears to be the regular RB1 guitar (for PS2).
The second, which is roughly 50$ (maybe I can get it for lower without the game) and looks like the GH something guitar.

I'm not sure about buying new, because I'm pretty sure it's gonna be quite expensive, but 50$ ain't cheap either. My question, is the 2nd option any good? Will it work with RB3 and RB4 when I'll buy it?
I remember the RB1 guitar was quite shit even when it was new, so I'm quite hesitant about buying it.

Maybe I'll just stick with what I have and continue playing drums only...

Edit: I'm not 100% if it's in stock, but this GH5 guitar (PS2) is quite cheap and new. Should I pull the trigger?

You know if we are gonna get a lot of mixed singles from whatever era they better get Nik Kershaw's The Riddle for the next 80s one.

i'll be getting lying from you the moment it goes up. not my favorite LP song but there are very few LP songs in general I won't buy (in fact the only one I can think of off the top of my head is Wretches and kings lol)

I do wish the audioslave song was Be Yourself. I would buy that one, not feeling this one though.

Had my first Rockband party since RB4's release. With no ION support and the exports not available yet we still ended up playing RB3. Figure it out Harmonix.

Same here. It's a serious problem. Nobody wants to play RB4 when they come over. At this point I'm mad at myself for wasting money on it.

same, i'm not playing it nearly as much as I expected, was really hoping the imports would be here, already sold the older games. bleh. I like the game but, wish I felt more compelled to play. Still glad i have it around though.
Good to know. Guess I can hold off a while longer on getting RB4 (and an Xbone).

Like a Stone is a good song but don't know how much fun it would be to play...
And who keeps asking for Linkin Park :|

Electric six pack and a few other de-listed songs are available for PS4 (SCEA). I am unable to download them since I never bought them (it says unavailable because you didn't purchase X).

Which means they've figured out how to treat de-listed content. Yay!

They've been able to do this before for content that was preorder only or other special requirements.
What's going on now is basically the same situation we had when LBP3 launched on PS4 and it took forever to get all the content transfered over.

Seriously? Great, something to do while Fallout 4 installs.

Unless they're not available on XONE yet, which would be sad.

Seriously?!?!? That's pretty sweet if so. Got a list of what showed up for you?

Did Harmonix ever give a date when online multi will be in, the one thing I'm waiting to be added to the game so I can go buy it.

It's not currently confirmed as a potential future feature. Realistically I'd like to see online multi and the return of keys as the highlight of major updates over the next year or two.

No. They haven't even confirmed online will be included at some point either. They have said it might happen and they haven't ruled it out, but that's about it. How fast we'll get online probably depends on how successful RB4 is, and how big the demand for online is. At least they have admitted online is one of their most requested missing features.

The pack that comes with the Mustang guitar + song bundle has Under the Bridge and it's pro upgrade.

edit: this one

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B006603V4U/?tag=neogaf0e-20

edit2: looking over all the track packs, I'm pretty sure the rest of songs in every track pack are still available.
Good to know, guess I can skip the Classic Rock pack since it's going for ludicrous prices at amazon.
Shame that Under the Bridge is exclusive to purchasing the Mustang, since I have no intentions of getting one.

Those have been available to download for users who purchased them since RB4's release btw.

Metallica pack, Snow (Hey Oh) and Don't Stop Believing still not available though :(

Just got back after my wedding and honeymoon. Been away for weeks....so I'm sorry if this is annoying, but:

What's the latest on the previous game exports?

Blitz and Green Day should be working right now. Rock Band 3 export will be $15, comes in December, appears to include every on-disc song from that game. Still waiting on the others.

I can't find the RB1 Export key on PSN, what gives? Not really enjoying the RB4 track list...

You need a specific URL for it or access it via RB1 disc on PS3.
That said I think this might be moot anyways and RB1 export was taken down about a week after RB4's launch (at least on xbox)

That said.. Exports can't currently be downloaded on RB4 anyways.

Oh, this finally pops up.

Strange cross-promotion, though.

You won't find it because it was delisted a few days after RB4 was released.

I see the OP still mentions it, guess it should be updated.

I like free stuff, I like Rock Band and I like a lot of gay people. Sure, why not?

I do appreciate that I don't actually have to join the website though :p

I don't even know why I expect anything from this game anymore.

Someone tell why I should bother playing Rock Band 4 in the EU when Rock Band 3 is the same game but better.
It's not like it's on Harmonix that SCEE is being awful. Everything works fine on XONE. I'm sure that Harmonix is as pissed about this as you.
