Bloodborne DLC: how to access bloodborne the old hunters expansion.

Wouldn't the badges for it be available in the DLC areas? Then becoming available for purchase from the messengers.

Yeah that's what I'm assuming. It would be cool if they sprinkled a few items here and there in the main game though, especially early on. Wishful thinking.

So 75-80 is a pretty solid place to start the DLC on NG, or do you over-level and overpower everything if you're at that range?

Edit: See my question was answered a bit earlier.

You can always make a new character. Took me under two hours to get from the start of the game to slightly past the DLC point.

Yep. I've done the same thing.

I have a blossoming STR build currently sitting at Level 32 and ready for the DLC, but I'm now thinking that my character at Level 110 in NG+ will more comfortably hit that crucial sweet spot of challenging vs. manageable. I want the DLC to kick my ass, but I don't want it to be soured by an insane difficulty level. A level 32 character may just be a recipe for heartache first time through.

I mean, most accounts we've heard make it seem like something you probably don't want to tackle as soon as you can.

As an aside, my preorder confirmation email says it's to unlock at 9:00pm today in Australia, which is just over 7 hours from now. Does that check out?

I don't understand the new League covenant...so all it does is replace the ringing of the small resonant bell?...so now if you want to assist someone it automatically searches for a host (if you're a member of the League)?

If I enter the DLC in NG+ will the new content be leveled like NG+? I only have one character who is a pretty high level, I'm not very interested in making a new one.

Did they increase how many bullets and vials you can have in store?

I don't remember being able to hoard 600 of each but it's been a while.

I wonder if there will be more material for upgrades, I am already out for +6-+9

Oh wow, so that's the end of that bridge? The open world level design is better than Dark Souls in a lot of ways.

No.

We know where that door ends. it ends up at the bridge where u fight
Cleric Beast
. Somewhere during development they changed access to cathedral ward from that door to
gascoigne
. TLDR: u can stand on both sides of that door; just not pass through :(

You actually had to backtrack from Cathedral Ward to unlock that shortcut maybe the Devs figured out it was kinda pointless and sealed it

question, how much content was added with this DLC compared to the main game? I still have a feel it won't be much

Without naming these things:

5 Bosses
10 new weapons
New "spells"
New areas
Cutscenes
and more

It has more content than Dark Souls:AotA

Probably a dumb question but if I start a new game now and don't have the DLC till tomorrow I should still have no problem accessing it, right?

Correct. You could have a character from version 1.0, patch everything, download the DLC unlocker and get straight to the DLC.

It wont be a problem. You can access the DLC at any time if you meet the requirements.

I thought vanilla saves are incompatible with later versions due to the dupe glitch.

Edit: It looks like it only affects those who used the dupe glitch.

Eh? That would be something new for me. I mean I play all my characters with the current patch..if they lock you out of it now, then how are people using their characters? I think that is bullshit.

Perhaps if the character was made after a certain date it's locked out? Because my first character made at launch still works for sure.

Thanks! I've been wanting to play Bloodborne again since I first finished it, but have been putting it off until the DLC comes out. Now I get to experience the DLC and my second playthrough!

Pretty sure he's mistaken. I still have my first character from 1.0 and he isn't locked out of anything.

Where is the new covenant located (The league I think it's called?), and what are the benefits for joining it?

From what I gathered it would be easier to coop while in that covenant, but that seems a bit weird to.
