Megalyn Echikunwoke, who voiced the titular character in the CW Seed's animated series "Vixen," will reprise her role in live-action on "Arrow" for this season's 15th episode (via TV Insider).

"We’re not only thrilled to be further expanding our DC television universe by bringing in the live-action incarnation of the CW Seed hit, Vixen, we’re immensely excited that Megalyn will be revisiting her role as Mari McCabe,” said executive producer Marc Guggenheim.

In the animated series as well as the comics, Mari McCabe -- a.k.a. Vixen -- has the power to mimic the abilities of animals thanks to an amulet passed down through her family. "Arrow" and "Flash" stars Stephen Amell and Grant Gustin lent their voices to the animated series, so Vixen was able to tangle with both Green Arrow and the Flash; it is unclear at this time if that relationship will carry over into the live-action "Arrow."

I still need to finish that CW Seed Vixen series. The tiny 5 min episodes every week wasn't my thing, but now I can view the whole "series" at once.

Team Arrow is a little crowded with regulars at the moment, but Flash could use her. Barry is doing all the heavy lifting with metahumans, he could use a hand.
