I was always taught "Never Eat Soggy Worms" when I was in 1st grade (maybe kindergarten?) as an easier way to remember the 4 cardinal directions on a compass N,E,S,W.

I also remember being taught "My Very Educated Mother Just Served Us Nine Pizzas" as a way to remember the planets in the solar system. This is way back when Pluto was still a planet.

What mnemonic devices were you taught as a child to help you remember important things?

N-E-W-S is like some dumbass game controller logic.

But "North, South, East, and West" is not difficult to remember in the first place.

It's to help you remember where the compass directions are in relation to each other.
