Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 open beta 14-18 January.

HOLY SHIT

The beta is level capped at 300

and there are 30 characters to unlock.

Incredible.

Also I'll be doing the beta OT going the night before, anyone want to give me suggestions for the title?

Popcap revealed finer details on what's in the beta.

Gardens & Graveyards and Herbal Assault are there all the time, while other MP modes are cycled every day. The character stats area of Backyard Battleground is open, too.

For the first platform I played on I accidently maxed everything without spending any Skip Challenge Stars (id save them for tough challenges but always end up just completing the challenges and saving the stars) so I ended up hoarding hundreds of them without needing them so for the other platforms I'd play and level up/skip challenges ASAP.

I have roughly 400 hours on XB1 (first platform)

200 hours on PC (favorite platform thanks to performance and M+KB but didn't have a PC for a while)

80 or so hours on PS4 (love the controller, may be my lead platform for GW2)

I play it everyday as its my "unwinding" game yet I'd have no problem playing it competitively as it's just that much fun.

I usually dont play online shooters seriously enough to care about my K.D. ratio, but in GW it's 4.0 on XB1 and 3.0 on PS4/PC so you can say I'm pretty into this game :p

nice stats i feel my 2.1 k/d is solid for the hours ive put in. pc my fave too. mouse too good.

I noticed this is 69.99 in EU store, I believe I got the first one at launch for 39.99?
Digital is a must for this kind of game, will get the us version but still..

Always leaving PC out for no reason. What's the point of having your own storefront and 100% control over your shit when you're not even giving throwing your PC userbase bones like beta access?

So they mention that there's split screen in the official site, but any word on whether there is 2 player or 4 player split screen?

Really hoping for 4 so that I can play with both my boys.

Wait a minute, I may have outdone myself

Cob Of Duty: Black Crops Tree

YES?

Don't you dare say say no!

But it's GW2. Anyway, I sunk a surprising amount of time into the first one (PS4), after picking it up for free and trying it on a whim. Will be fun to see the beta but I'll be waiting for a couple price drops if I decide to pick it up.

Not like this. Not like this.

I'm still going with get back to your roots. That's just damn good.

FYI Amazon preorders at 20% off are up. Xbox One digital preorders include Peggle 2. EA Access also gets you 10% off and early access, as always.

So characters and upgrades we unlocked in pvz unlocks automatically in the second game, correct?

Characters, yes. Upgrades, no.

Upgrades work differently this time around, and are now unlocked via character progression. There's a lot more of them, too!

I played over a hundred hours on Xbox then hit PS4 on its release for even more. (Friends on both platforms)

Both coming at the same time means I may need to pick just one version for a couple months. Not so much for money but just to not have to be unlocking crap on both sides in a time sink.

Thank goodness characters carry over to GW2. I'll electrician asses from day one.

Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 Beta |OT| Petal To The Metal

Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 Beta |OT| A Tactical Shooter That Takes Brainz

Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 Beta |OT| Is It In 1080Pea?

I like that, I still have a couple characters which I have had for a while and still don't have all 3 of there upgrades so this way sounds better!!

I haven't been following a lot on this game, so I am going in fresh. The first one is a lot of fun and I heard this one will have a lot more content? It would explain the price difference. Should be interesting to see how it looks too, now that the game is only for current gen consoles and PC.

I read it will also contain some kind of SP mode this time around?

My wife loves PvZ: GW and plays it daily, but she only plays Welcome Mat.

Has there been any indication to PvZ: GW2 having this mode in the beta or full game?

I assume the full game will at the very least have Classic Team Vanquish.
