Actually...

Pokémon Race mini is essentially a platformer

Plus 2D platforming construction blocks with the e-Reader

Oh, right! That and Togepi's Great Adventure look really good. Shame they never brought them over. :(

I wonder if Nintendo / TPC will ever tackle the e-Reader and Pokémon mini backlog. Collecting all little Arcade e-Reader games in one release would be pretty fun, considering how few people know about them, let alone played them. A Pokémon mini Collection would also work splendidly.

Pokémon mini on the Virtual Console would be nice.

Oh my good. This is adorable. I didn't even know I wanted something like this. If this plays out like Phoenix Wright, I'll pick it up.

It's going to be a completely missed opportunity if they don't include Meowth in this with his anime voice. Hell toss in MewTwo as well. He speaks human right?

I'm disappointed in all of you that didn't vote for Liam O'Brien man is an American treasure, he should get more roles after Nolan North and Troy Baker he's the third best male VA in the industry :'(

Silliness aside, the animation tech on display here is really, really good, especially for the 3DS (It's probably better than many console games). The subtleties in the facial expression for pikachu are excellent.

Also the deep voice is sexy, as completely ill fitting for pikachu as it is.

Instead of releasing the RBY n3DS, TPC should've reeased a Pokemon mini with RB. Casual fans aren't going to buy a new system just to play Pokemon for nostalgia. They should've made an extremely portable machine dedicated for Pokemon.

One can dream 😩

As much as I like him, dude sometime is cast as a large majority of "Random (Soldier) dudes" in lots of big games.

A nice and strong Steve Blum VA on the other hand... laughs for days.

I'm really put off by this, it just doesn't fit with how I think of Pikachu.

To me he's an electric mouse, an 'animal' of similar intelligence to a dog, communicating at most like Chewbacca in the anime. It's really weird hearing him talk perfectly and solving mysteries after 20 years. It freaks me out as much as if my dog was to start talking to me after 10 years.

Why does a standalone Pikachu game look SOOO much better than a main-line Pokemon game!?

It is more linear, camera don't show much since it is closer, does not have stats, don't have to model 700 pokemons and it probably has mostly fixed camera in some scenes

There's a million stories in Vermilion City, and this one is one of mine.

The name's Kachu. I'm a private investigator. The dame came in one night. I'd seen her before; she was a singer down at Brock's. Long legs, long hair, big ol' baby-blue eyes. She introduced herself as Etta. She'd got trouble. She thought some slab of muscle - an old flame - found down at the Dojo had some dark secret on her, she wanted me to find out just how much he knew. She offered me fifty bucks a night, plus expenses. I took the job.

I went down to the Dojo, asked to speak to the Champ. He was surprisingly un-evasive; he knew Etta before, only not as Etta. She was a femme fatale, real name Mel; he'd had a run-in with her before. He fell for her wiles; they became lovers. Turns out, though, she was a Collector of the most dirty kind. She'd claimed that she was being harassed by an ex-partner, and asked him to put the frighteners on the ex. When he got back, he found the house was ransacked, his stash of Master Balls; gone.

My heart lurched. I ran back to the office. Sure enough, the safe was open. Empty. Must have been a skilled breaker too. Just one thing left - a folded note with a lipstick kiss on it. I opened it.

"Can't catch 'em all", it said.

Good job :)

So is that like a human who got turned into a Pikachu or something? Another Mewoth situation? Or are they just not going to explain shit?

I don't understand why anyone thinks this is creepy or disturbing. Looks amazing to me and I really hope we get it later in the year.

Not going to vote on a specific actor, though it would be a major plus if the accent matches the hat.
