People can only comment on what they see. The trailer wasn't their best work but in-game... Wow. Stage looked fantastic as did her model and animation. Every KI casual/hater has something negative to say on every character reveal.

Yep.

dude i enjoy watching KI and think its mechanics are genuinely more interesting than some of the more popular fighters, just because people arent happy with her design doesnt mean they hate the game.

She looks pretty fun, hopefully her face gets touched up a bit so it doesn't look so manish but her moves and voice over are great Imo.

A martial artist, design student and demon ass-kicker, huh?

Yeah, something about her design is off. I think her face looks oddly realistic, very realistic for a game with pretty cartoony proportions otherwise. The bright pink robe also looks weird, not sure what they were going for.

the bright pink robe is in her original 20 year old design

The personality they gave her is just baffling to me. She sounds like a spoiled teenage american, doesn't fit the character at all.

Did Kim Wu in KI2 even have a Personality

Like all I remember is that her and Spinal were rivals

Did...anyone in KI before the reboot have personality outside of Orchid being sexbait and Combo being a caricature

Her face needs work no doubt, it's not NRS bad though.

IN GAME she looks fantastic, this trailer was horrible.

Criticism is fine, for example the post about how the face lacks any features like TJ's did is something to actually be worried about. Or the overall design, personality or gameplay since those are unlikely to be changed dramatically.
Making judgments about the budget of Season 3 is silly criticism.

to be clear, my comment wasn't even referring to her face.

it was referring to the massive Tao Feng vibes I got from this image:

1.) her face looks really bad. Second Life X Killer Instinct.

2.) isn't she from South Korea? Seems to have a Chinese vibe in this trailer

Not just for KI here, but I've always felt it was weird for people to seem to want video game characters they play as to be to their standards of physical attraction...sometimes to the point where they need to be practically datable, fuckable, marriage-capable or something. I mean, even the cool characters in games, either due to style or proportions and design, are generally the usual spin on impossible standards of beauty or current trends of style and all tend to age poorly because of that. I mean, there's no real artistic value there outside of fashion model and generic demographic safety there. I dunno, this thread just seems another pretty strong example of what I think is fairly homogenous view on standards of video game beauty even though they're all basically animated action figures no matter how you slice it. Video games still seem to be locked into a narrow range of looks, like all mainstream Hollywood film seems to be.
