Who did not expected that zelda will be a launched title and will be launched on both consoles?

Also who did not expected that nx will be launched in Nov?
To be honest, I can still foresee events in which everything Falls apart and no new systems would launch this year and Wii U is a barren desert this fall...

I would not be surprised at all if this happens.

It's going to be an F-Zero that takes place in Sweet Sweet Galaxy. Since, y'know, torte.

I'm thinking:

Torte City > Torte > Sachertorte > Sacher > Zacharias, which means "God has remembered" in Hebrew.

They are referencing the fact that "God" (Nintendo) has remembered that it's disciples (we mugs in this here thread) are itching for a return to the City. Mute City.

Either way, if Trev's source is on the money (& if Caviar F & Cadillac are what I guessed), that only leaves 4 major new games for the 3DS this year coming out of Nintendo. This would be comparable to the system's 2015, except with Pokémon picking up the slack (which, let's be honest, all of us expected). This coupled with the price cut of the 3DS does indicate that we may end up getting the NX Handheld early next year, & the 3DS price cut would just be a way to make the system more appealing during the holidays despite the NX devices being revealed.

Easy now. This is an NX thread. The 3DS and Wii U lineup being revealed isn't too shocking.

The crow in this thread would be if the console comes first and the handheld enthusiasts crying for a few months or vice versa.

Or the thing ends up being more powerful than speculated and getting FFXV and FFVIIr so drive-by posts "ahaha" get silenced.

Nintendo makes two comparitively weak consoles it seems they will never be able to live it down. Jesus. If anything, going by this logic, the handheld nx should be in the neighborhood of approaching the wiiu and the nx console should be at least as powerful as the xbox one. So ffxv and ffvr def dont seem outta the picture.

Also we know the wiiu was intended to be much more powerful but they had cooling issues and gimped the whole thing. I know i remeber reading that.

Hell wasnt the 3ds alao supposed to be more powerful but tegra couldnt deliver?

I have to quote a german comedian here: "Whatever stuff you're taking, you gotta take less."

... or share. Sharing works, too. :]

About Trev's new stuff ... sounds fine. That lineup, while not spectacular, is solid, also missing stuff like Pokemon Z, if that isn't that Anniversary game mentioned on the list. That could hint towards NX console launching first, at least in the west.

I'm fully expecting Zelda U to be a cross-gen game, maybe releasing first on Wii U to ease a potential backlash. And like back then with Twilight Princess, i will gladly buy both versions, play them one after another to satisfy my inner Zelda-nerd.

Bout the verifying, do we get an update from Bish/Nirolak or Trev in here, once it's done? I mean other than Trev getting banned if his source is not valid.

Nintendo as a company is designed in a way that nobody knows the entire picture of what Nintendo is working

Yet you just posted the entire planning, including budget amounts, for the 3DS in 2016?

Pokémon "Rainbow" sound like a celebration of all 6 previous generations of Pokémon that could potentially triple as both the sequel game for X/Y & a proper send-off for the 3DS, potentially killing three birds with one stone. But seeing as the Pokémon game has a huge marketing budget behind it, it's probably gonna be a mainline game.

As for the verification, Bish will likely just PM Trev. And if Trev's source isn't on the money, he'll probably just get banned.

3DS release list 2016:
Spring-Early Summer
Mario and Sonic Rio 2016
Nintendo Selects Wave 1
Hyrule Warriors Legends
Disney Art Academy
Bravely Second
Code Name: “Caviar F” (casual friendly smaller budget game)
Metroid Prime: Federation Force

Summer
Code name: “Torte City” big budget unannounced game for all gamers core/all ages
Dragon Quest VII
Code name: “Cadillac” (casual friendly smaller budget game late summer)

Fall-Holiday
3DS Hardware Price Cut
Code name: “N-Stars” big budget game for all ages
Nintendo Selects Wave 2
Code name: “DMW2” possibly Disney Magical World 2
Dragon Quest VIII
Pokémon 20th Anniversary game “Niji” Japanese translation: “Rainbow”

I'm guessing one of those casual friendly smaller budget games is that F2P Amiibo game developed by NST?

how plausible is this rumor?

But would Style Savvy really count as a big budget game?

I didn't think so either, but it's another one not listed as unannounced, of 3 total in that category, and there are 3 games we know of from JP that were retail there which haven't been released here in NA. So it's odd for sure because like you I didn't think of Style Savvy as big budget. But if the big budget game is unannounced and they just didn't say this next to it in the list, then I presume Style Savvy is one of the other two games, with Picross or RHTB+ being the other, and then the remaining of those being eShop only.

I'm thinking:

The leak left out any NX info outside of Zelda, which proves that marketing isn't aware of all of Nintendo projects. He leaked the planned budget for mostly known games. Stuff that's relavent to marketing but they also only gave code names so they don't even know what some of those games are. Hardly sounds like that workers knows everything about all games and systems launching this year.

N Stars sounds like a dedicated amiibo game to me.

Not to be a broken record, but quoting myself:

I think it would have to bee cross-platform with NX simply because for most 3DS owners, they do not have access to scanning amiibo into their system, so it would potentially prevent a massive percentage of the userbase from meaningfully being able to play the game. That's the only thing that really gives me pause about there being a 3DS-centric amiibo game, but perhaps it is NX cross-compatible.

That one was already confirmed for JP as the new Mario vs. DK game.

I expect it to come to NA for sure, though. But I don't know if it would be included in this list if it's eShop only in NA.

It's a codename so I would caution you not to read too much into it. It could just be Pokémon Z.

If the person is in marketing, that doesn't seem to be too farfetched. The leaker only seems to know the new Wii U/3DS titles by codenames, and he/she barely knows anything about the NX outside of Zelda, and that could be an reasonable exception due to it also being a Wii U game still in development.

I frankly can't fathom why anyone at Nintendo would risk their job (especially after what happened to Chris Pranger) to release information that most here have already guessed months ago. If this person is really who they say they are, I hope they aware they are playing with fire.

He might not care if he has options and doesn't like walking on eggshells all the time.

Why "pokemon rainbow" as code name and not something totally different that doesn't mention the franchise (like "caviar F" or the other strange name).
I'm afraid the theory of this being a bait to identify leakers may be true....

I'm hoping "rainbow" is a nod to the unity of the many genarations of Pokemon and we get a game that combines nearly all Pokemon land masses.

If this leak turns out to be true and there's an unannounced Pokemon launching this fall for 3ds, does this completely rule out the NX Handheld launching this year? I know 3ds launched with a DS pokemons (B/W) launching right before it, but that was a spring scenario with a soft launch that Nintendo had to rectify with a huge price drop.

KingSnake

The Birthday Skeleton
Pokemon RainbowZ.

The list makes sense as a list of budgeting/planning positions. I assume gaming industry also needs to manage cost budgets annually, like the rest of the world.

OK, but a codename isn't supposed to be a nod to anything. It's just a placeholder name to prevent leaks. So either this is the real name or it is a bait because this will pop up on the net way faster than, say, "comfortable chair project" or "mystic burger". Well, we'll see, I for myself tend to believe this list may be legit. Let's face it, there's nothing earth-shattering in it.

I hope Pokémon Rainbow is a game where you can marry male Pokémon to one another, and female Pokémon to one another. Estimates place 500 - 1500 species as showing evidence of homosexual behaviors. Therefore, many species of Pokémon could reasonably display such characteristics as well. I think two Shellos could make a very charming couple.

I hate to tell you this, but if this is legitimate information, the leak will be traced, simple as that.

NOA doesn't just hand out fiscal/budgetary information to most of its employees. There is a very specific group of employees that are privy to such pertinent information. In fact, I'm pretty sure I know exactly what department your source works in. How could I possibly know this? Because I also know someone who is privy to such information, and I can guarantee you that they would never have released this information, because they actually like, and want to keep their job.

I hope for your source's sake that someone leaked that information to them, because if they received it directly, it's beddy-bye for your brave little leaker.
I advised Trev and his source to proceed with increased caution about this matter. As you say, tracing will likely commence.

It's going to be a mess. I guess the leaker either does not care about their job or did not learn anything from the public examples of Chris Pranger or even CBOAT. I hope this was a controlled leak but that's not Nintendo's MO so...I doubt it....

What's more important, your job or leaking info to starved fans? Get your priorities straight guys. :p
