What do you want in a shovel knight sequel???

So I just finished the shovel knight about 5 minutes ago and I really really liked it. It was charming and fun to play without being to easy or to difficult. Anyway I was looking online to see about sequel news and yacht club has hinted at doing a sequel. They hinted that it can range anywhere from NES to N64 style of game.

So what do you want in a shovel knight sequel.

I would like a shovel knight sequel involving hunting for your long lost ally to polar dude with the big snow shovel. They hind that he is going to be the bad guy for the next one because they leave his ending open ended. I would love for them to go mario 64 style just to see if they can pull it off. I feel like it would be awesome to control shovel knight in 3d and have some epic boss battles.

Faster movement. Shove Knight is so slow in the original game. It feels so unnatural.

Ya if they go with a 2d platformer for the sequel then I would love tighter controls. You can tell it wasn't as tight during the last level with that disappearing tiles bullshit every game and there mother's like to use :)

Levels similar to the rocket barrel stages in Donkey Kong Country Returns where you're sitting on the shovel sliding down a mountain or hill having to maneuver through obstacles.

Should be doable.

It's hard to think about a sequel when they keep releasing new goodies for the original game. Plague Knight is so good that I already sorta feel like we got a sequel and there's STILL MORE to come. I haven't even touched all of the challenges yet.

It's hard to say how good a 3D SK would be, since it would be such a huge departure. I'm down for it though, if the devs think it's worth doing.

That's what I'm thinking. It would be different but if yacht club can think they can do it, then I would be down for it and thing it's awsome :)

Outside of completely doing away with the flashing screens, I'd love to see them tackle 16 bit style with faster and tighter controls. I love the game, but it's just a tad slow I feel.

Super Shovel Knight. Snes+ style. And I know this will be controversial, but I'd like it to dial up the adventure component and go for a Super Metroid interconnected world. Or Demon's Crest at least with complex levels that need revisiting.

It would be bad ass if they implemented an option to change our graphics preferences a la Mario Maker.

Shovel Knight is one of my favorite games. I also enjoyed the Plague Knight campaign and I'm looking forward to the next two.

For a sequel, I guess I would like them to make it more of the same, except with completely new levels and new boss knights, just like each new Mega Man game introduced new robot masters.

It would take a lot of creativity!

Ooooh! I'd like a Kirby and the Amazing Mirror style sequel with one big map I can play with friends on. I'd fucking love that!

Super Shovel Knight! Basically more of the same. If they can make their first game that good, imagine what they could do with a sequel.

Self-funding

Indeed, we should not get the chance to help a proven and talented developer make the game we want while also getting said game day 1 at a discount. That's just wrong. Besides, Kickstarter games are less fun than honest to goodness self-funded games.

It's a safe bet that anything Spieler Eins posts is going to be negative. There's been so many good kickstarter games, it gets pretty tiring hearing the same bogus criticism over and over.

I for some reason do not want this. I wouldn't like shovel knight as a metrovania type.

As for me, faster walk speeds would be nice. I just hope the sequel is big enough to keep Shovel Knight in the public eye long enough for Smash 5 to come along.

Shovel knight 64. 3d platformer. Playable shield knight and maybe others.
They could intentionally make it bad like the majority of 3D platformers of that era were. Make it as if they'd never seen a 3D game before and aren't quite sure how to make it fun. Now that's an homage.
I'd love for them to stick with the Mega Man homage a bit and make Shovel Knight X with 16-bit stylings.
This could be awesome. Give SK a taller, leaner sprite along with some new abilities and a grittier tone

If they are proven and competent, they shouldn't need to beg for money all over again. That just further makes hacks like Inafune and Schafer think they can rip you off and abuse the system forever.

I'd like to see a SNES style game. Lots of Mode 7 and Blast Processing. Pretty much just the first game with 16-bit graphics, like many SNES sequels were.

Maybe try a different game structure? I'd like to see an RPG and a Metroidvania before any kind of 3D game.

Taking even more from Mario 3 would be nice. I'd like to enjoy 8 semi-themed worlds with their own "robot master" bosses and mid bosses rather than the one set of Mega Man levels and a few side levels that are on a map more for nostalgic show than for standard baring.

I think the demand for a Super Shovel Knight/Shovel Knight X 16-bit-style followup is so clear that I'd be very surprised if Yacht Club didn't go for it if they do a sequel. It'd be the best way to expand the gameplay and avoid just being a retread, certainly.

sidequests with NPCs that have their own storylines. i would like more development with them. Plague Knight DLC showed how much more interesting certain NPCs can be if you flesh them out.

I'm not sure which name would be more perfect
