It seems it's quite popular already.

After discovering Miitomo Drop (which is friggin' hard) I managed to get some cat swag. I wasn't exactly aiming for the leggings and pumps but I wear them with pride.

I shouldn't get too attached since everything will have to be reset once the app officially hits in the west. ):

It'd have been a real disaster if Nintendo's first app didn't attract a lot of attention on its first day. The question always was if it'll have staying power (and if people will make use of its IAPs).

Searched the #Miifoto a bit on Twitter and I have to say I like these "Nintendo rage faces" that some of the Miis have. I'm guessing they're something that is unlocked.

My twitter is @strigau. I basically use it as a news feed, but wouldn't mind adding people for Miitomo.
Couldn't add you to the list because your page is protected :(

Twitter List is updated again, but I'm going to bed now so can't update it for a while. Hope OP can put the link in the first post so I don't have to keep linking it :p.

Would downloading this now essentially be just getting the US version early? Looks like it's completely in English

With the sad side effect that you can't link it to your Nintendo Account. It's still fun to tinker with, but I need me that linkage to really get into it.

pretty much. Once the us version releases I speculate that you will be able to switch your region to North America and then be able to link your My NIntendo Account. But yes, the entire game is in english

And of course Nintendo doesn't give a crap about chasing the hype with a worldwide release. :(
I don't understand this mindset at all, and I'm seeing it a lot lately. Not only aimed at Nintendo, but they seem to get hit with the bat of "Not instantly global? Screw you!" most often. Can anyone explain it to me?

An app game that is for sure coming to other countries, 100% guaranteed within the next two weeks (and probably within the next few days, given that they've already done the translation work), but because Nintendo doesn't do a to-the-second simultaneous worldwide release of an experimental app which could easily flop, they give no poops about anything other than Japan? This is, by the way, their very first foray into this market at all, and they aren't allowed to test the waters?

Not even going to give them 24 hours under the assumption that different app stores/regions might have different hoops to jump through or the fact that it takes that long for a "day" to hit the entire planet?

Nintendo isn't perfect. They make a ton of mistakes. Recently, quite a few that have perplexed and annoyed me. Getting Miitomo up and running in home field before unleashing it on the world? No. I think it is understandable. Just as long as they don't wait too long before letting us in on the fun.

Loving the Miifotos, by the way.

I think they're just trying to avoid the oversaturation of the servers that would come with a simultaneous worldwide release, and iron out any bugs before most people get it. (Like the "too many Twitter followers or GIF avatar crash" that's already been alerted by them.)

Did the OP make this topic and run? Probably time to update the Twitter list, yo.

Edit: I see there's a @MiitomoGAF account. Cool.
