Another guy asked me earlier those same questions. Lol it's the same account. Same region. I think the update killed the fact that I have the Season Pass. GLITCH.

Do you have it set to ask and 5 bar? or is it auto/5 bar, auto/5 bar is a no no, auto/5bar will give you 1 bar matches, Capcom match making is terrible
You could try frame trapping with st.HP, which will combo into HP chop on counterhit. You can also, if midscreen, charge V-Skill when you stun someone and go for st.HP, HP chop, EX follow up for 333 damage.

While that is the optimal combo midscreen, CC St.HK, HK Elbow, EX Chop gives you much better positioning, V-Bar, and corner carry. In the corner you can do CC St.HK, HK Elbow, Cr,HP, EX Chop for 338 and prime positioning for setups.

Good Ryus are a brick wall and hit like a train. Good for them though as you need solid fundamentals for that.

Ah, yeah, I hadn't considered positioning when messing around with Alex, but that's definitely something to keep in mind. I suppose EX Chop works better in the corner instead of EX Knee if you want to get a mixup going.

After EX Chop, you can dash forward, wait a split second, then meaty F.HP. Crushes any non-invincible wakeups, and is +3 on block and leave you in range for either a powerbomb, or St.MP.
Once you recover from your pain you should come beat hard survival on my account because I believe in you.
Ah yeah, while on training mode I'd go for EX Chop, dash, whiff st.LP to throw opponent off and immediately go for Power/Hyper Bomb

Alex is really fun. And once you get the momentum going, you can run a train through fools.
On that note, can anyone make me an Alex avatar please?
Even if he did, if he is playing Alex then I am sure he would understand the impulse.
It is still SUPER early, but Alex is definitely giving off that "needs something" feeling.

I really don't think he needs anything, he has a great toolkit right now. Of course it's still day 3 and everything can change as his meta evolves.
He has good pokes. That is one thing. He also has... uh...
?
Don't get me wrong, I like the character. I just struggle to see how he is going to be viable as is. Maybe I just lack the vision necessary.

Good pokes. Good setups. Amazing meaty, F.HP, which leave him +3 and makes you guess between command grab and St.MP. High stun output, and insane damage once he gets you stunned. Nice corner carry. We can play tomorrow to show you what I'm talking about, as I honestly believe the character is good

Finally got 9, but now 10 is killing me... for some reason, my towards input when i do the scissors must be ever so slightly uptoward, so half the time I get a headstomp... add to that the ridiculous quickness you need to cancel the scissor into CA and I'm about ready to throw something, especially since I seem to have better luck if they're in the left corner and I'm on 2p side.

Uhh, he may build stun, but he can barely keep any pressure going. And you say he hits hard, but I'm not seeing any of that damage unless you're spending a lot of meter and using fairly slow moves to confirm.
