Titanfall 2 Teaser, full reveal June 12th at EA Play at 1PM PT, PC/XB1/PS4

Swords eh? Sounds like a minor addition, but I dont mind at all if TF2 is just a massive expansion without too much change.

In my head, I kind of wanted to see Titans with different domains... like a Spider Titan that can climb buildings and shoot through windows and from height, a Serpent Titan that could tunnel underground, a Titan that could swim. Just neat ways to traverse the world.

Im excited for whatever they do, and just hope that they decide to do free DLC for life, and pack it with interesting modes. Split screen please?
 
They are actively hiring for Unreal Engine 4 jobs for their new IP, but I'm not sure if Titanfall itself has switched engines or if they just tried to upgrade the renderer to something modern.

Yeah it's hard to tell. This footage looks a lot better than Titanfall 1 but I can't really tell if its a different engine or not.

I still want to know more about SP before getting excited. After all, PR is PR. That SP could be anything from shitty dumb objectives on MP maps, to full cinematic campaign.

I want the full package.

There's nothing total about Battlefield 3 and 4 having vestigial SP that nobody likes just to check that box. I'd rather have a barebones or unconventional campaign than a mess like that.
 
More diversity in weapons, and player vs player (not Player vs Ai vs Player), and ill be happy. Could care less about singleplayer honestly.
 
Also FYI, Titan battles in the jungle is actually in one of the early concept of the original game.

My bet is on Frostbite, doesn't look like Source at all.
 
PSVR support please and all systems are a go.

what would this even be? just a 3D mode?

You cant really expect them to support head tracking and independent aim somehow? would surely unbalance the multiplayer.

Also PSVR is not flipping a switch - there's huge system overhead for the VR element and 3D display. The game would probably have to look like the XBox 360 version of titanfall 1.

I like having the AI there for cannon fodder but yeah they should up the amount of human players. Make it 24 players + bots and we good
 
Titanfall is still my favorite new IP/shooter this generation, and mechs with swords is just about the only thing that could make it even better.
Besides more content, of course.

It's definitely not a FB3 title since Respawn is an independent studio technically and EA is picky with giving out their toys, so I would assume either an upgraded version of the Source base they used for the first game (please lord no) or UE4. The trailer definitely wasn't CG, and it looked alright, so I'd be willing to bet UE4.

I think if Respawn wants this to be the smash success it should be, they'll need better visuals (check), a proper story (apparently check), more content (weapons, maps, customization) and a Server Browser and proper support on PC. If they can check all of those boxes, the game should finally break into the mainstream.

Either way, I'll still love it to death. The core gameplay of Titanfall is what hooked me so deep, and some more of that is an instant Day One.

Cool, I hope it has a SP campaign this time.

Also, what are the chances that this will be one of the games to allow cross-network play between Ps4 and Xbox?

It wasn't even massively abandoned on XB1. I could jump on right now and find a match pretty damn quick.

PC was a whole different story, mind you.

Huh? How so? One of the most hyped One games to-date, one of the first major bundles I can remember, special ed. controllers made for it, one of the more debate-filled pre-releases I can remember on this forum (resolutiongate, exclusivity), etc. And from what I remember from PR/our own threads the attach rate was extremely high for owners.

The parkour was so well-oiled, it was immediately shoved down what seemed like every other FPS around (and continues to be).

Only issue I can remember was people lost interest quickly, especially on PC. I've heard there is still a communtiy in certain game-modes (I've already stopped), but that can't really be attributes to the appreciation of the game, but it's content.

Meh, it sounds like it has SP, I wish they didn't waste time on that... But I'm still hyped anyway, my favourite MP shooter is coming back.

Yeah population wise it survived longer than both Battlefield Hardline and StarWars Battlefront on PC. On Xbox One a year later you can still find games in pretty much all modes instantly, and they made all maps free as well.

I can see Sony trying to market both Battlefield and Titanfall.

MS seems to have scored Ubi titles like Division, Rainbow Six, probably Watch Dogs 2 as well.

I'll probably have to double dip with this to play on PS4 with my colleages and PC with my gaming buddies :-/

I'm so excited for this anyways.
