The Witcher 3's Blood and Wine Reportedly Launching June 7th

Doesn't this site say or hint at a different release date for this like every two weeks?

Anyway if true this would be pretty good timing for me; I'm like 12 hours into the game right now, by the time I finish it + Hearts of Stone it should be coming up on June.

I don't really want it to be released yet. Because it means it's truly the end. I don't want it to end. I am not ready. Not yet.

It will be years before TW4 comes and even then Geralt is no more.

But damn if I don't want it in my veins now.

I still think the game needs an EE. I think there are quite a few areas that could use improvement, especially in the main plot.

I also want to know what happened to Iorveth. They said he would appear in the base game (there's some left over bits in the game files too), then two years pass, nothing is said and boom, no Iorveth. He won't be in B&W (it wouldn't really make sense anyway), at least they announced that. Considering he's my favourite character from the games, it really annoys me that they refuse to talk about what happened to him.

Will probably still be neck deep in DS3, but it will be there when I'm done, great news!

I don't think I'll be finished with Dark Souls 3 by then. Hopefully they delay it, lol.

It will be good to go by the time your done, no need to delay!

Completing witcher 3 and it's add-ons us gonna take me some time. I'm already 100 hours or so in and nowhere close finishing it.

If you are overpowered finishing the main game and you play these two DLCs, will it be as easy or is there a difficulty auto-scale or something?

Also, if you aren't into Gwent (the card game) is it still worth getting the first DLC that's already out?
I am thinking of buying both when there is a sale, but Blood and Wine is said to be ~20 hours which is pretty good for an SP DLC.

Gives me just enough time to finish Deatmarch and get the rest of the trophies... Such a great game and a huge step forward from 2.

With the first DLC, it's fairly well balanced for somebody who's finished the main game, and I'm pretty sure that's how it's intended to be played. But you can play it much earlier if you like, or alternatively you can have the game level you up to the recommended level with appropriate gear. I never tried the latter so I'm not sure on the details, but it's one of the options the game explicitly gives you.

Also the first DLC is amazing and you'd be a fool not to get it if you enjoyed the Witcher 3. Gwent has nothing at all to do with it ;)

Great timing. Gives me a month to get Uncharted 4 finished off and a few weeks before No Man's Sky releases. Loved Hearts Of Stone so have high hopes for this.

I've been sleeping on The Witcher 3. Is the consensus still positive?

I went back to it the other day just to run around and admire the world having beaten it last Summer and giving it my #2 GOTY. So yeah, I still really love it

I had this brief moment inbetween the main game and the expansion, where people with complaints started to come out and I got a little worried that I was just in the hype when I originally played it. So I went back and played even more and then the expansion, and I realized that yeah, it's the real deal.

HoS was an expansion done right.
Only TLoU left behind comes even close in quality.

Can't wait for this, June is looking packed for games too.

I started it a few weeks ago and am obsessed. I'm not usually the type to play these crazy long games anymore. It's that good. Haven't been hooked on a game like this in a long time.

Joke post? Its only received more GotY awards than any other game in existence.

So.....

Gameplay is the best in the series. The story in the first DLC, Hearts of Stone, is objectively better than the main game. As a fan on the series, having read the books and played the games countless times, I felt the main plot was disappointing. The game tries very hard to be a direct sequel to the books, and in that regard, it's a terrible sequel to the previous two games. I also wasn't a fan of how they handled Ciri and Yen's relationship, I think those scripts needed some more time in the oven. The writers seem to have a bias towards Yen for some reason, almost as if they only read the first few books and not the whole saga.

Granted, I do expect more than the normal player. TW2's overall story is better written, however the presentation itself is leagues ahead in TW3.

Also, knowing that the team really suffered through making it, crunching for almost two years to get it done, you know, sours the mood a little bit. It boggles the mind how this is still considered normal in the industry.

tldr; Game is good, and for the price you get a bunch of content. It just wasn't what I personally wanted from the main story, side quests are great though. I personally prefer W2, because you just don't see games written like that.

Can't find anything about this, mind to elaborate? Thx

I'll PM you later.

That's a perfect time. Now for me to find a PC save that mirrors my PS4 save so I can play the DLC on PC....

If it's like Hearts of Stone, there will be an option to start a new Geralt, levelled up for the expansion, with the main quest already completed.

Yes. It's only negative is that it will ruin every side quest in every other game for you. Heck, it's 'side quests' are better than some other games' main quests.

On a side note; I am amazed how they created such quality with a relatively small budget. Incredible work.

Will Blood and Wine add anything to the main game? Will there be a feature patch that adds to the base game?

Will Blood and Wine also have more Gwenth?

Finally. Didn't buy the previous expansion sono could commit a good amount of time to witcher. The first western rpg that I actually enjoyed.

I stopped playing the base game when Hearts of Stone released. I will start over this summer with the base game and all dlc. zzzzingggg into my veins

From my perspective, it's not official until CDPR confirms it.

I'm kinda annoyed that their marketing department hasn't done anything to promote it yet.
