Sayonara Umihara Kawase is getting SteamVR support

Yeah, noticed that in my steamvr library last week or so.
Wonder how it'll work.

The most basic implementation I could imagine is simply head tracking, with the stage and characters in front of you like a panning diorama.
 
funny... i never thought about playing a 2D platformer with VR

i like the idea

I was iffy on the idea but Lucky's Take for real sold me instantly on the idea. Hopefully from now until June when I get my Vive there will be a few more platformers lol

3D platformers/3rd person games always made sense to me but 2D i'd imagine would be tricky since you're working with a horizontal plane that only spans so far. i'd think the FOV would have to be really zoomed in, especially in a game not designed for VR from the ground up. i dunno... should be interesting how they work it out

the idea of playing metroidvanias and the like though... cool idea. can't believe i never thought about it with excited as i am about my oculus preorder
 
Will it look like holding a Vita to your face (with lenses so you can actually see pixels and not blur)? Or will this make them actually support non-Vita range internal resolutions?
