Too late. I heard through the grapevine Kimishima is gonna launch three mobile games releasing at once, NX being the most powerful system, and the handheld successor releasing a year from now, all while juggling 6 peacocks.
They have to at least mention it if the device is release this year even if we don't get any real info.

They can just say "We have many excited things planned for later this year in the console and handheld space. Details will be revealed at a later time."

If it's releasing this year then they should say so, and there's history of them unveiling the final name of their platforms at these things. And there's that quote Rosti repeatedly brought up, with Kimishima saying that they'd go into details about new businesses at the next meeting, and now Serkan Toto is saying that there'll be details of new stuff. What that stuff is, we'll see.
No worries I got hype insurance.

When I read all the posts saying that they expect nothing or that their expectations are low so they don't get disappointed, I still imagine you guys getting disappointed anyway when no news is given.
Comprising just the Gamepad with everything in it.
I always wonder how posts like these exist, when every Nintendo pre-announcement thread is riddled with negativity and scepticism. The times of joy are long gone.
I'm putting my money on this.

the only thing that i expect is them saying "more info at e3". but i really really hope they give a hard date to when we will hear more. if he just says "no nx info today" then i'm going to cry in a corner
This tells me we're overdue for an upswing in the cycle.

Everyone needs to be prepared for something like the following:
'We have not included NX in our forecasts for the following reason: Due to our reorganisation of development houses and the untimely passing of Mr. Iwata, development on NX has been slower than expected. With the success of Miitomo, we have decided to focus on mobile games to augment our 3DS and Wii U titles this holiday, and will have more news on NX in 2017.'
I know it seems impossible. But it's Nintendo. Prepare for the worst. (And that right there is the worst.)

Man I can count so many times how so many people used to overhype these types of meetings. I just take it as a meeting, because Directs exist.
That being said I do hope we learn something new here.
That ship has sailed. Then it hit bad weather, ran aground and leaked gallons of toxic bitterness into the ecosystem. The clean up operation starts tonight.

-NX coming this year, more details to follow at a later date, but we get sales projections and maybe an explanation of how it's different than the Wii U such that it actually sells
-Another media collaboration using Nintendo IP, like a movie or anime or whatever
-Thrilling mobile engagement numbers and amiibo sales
