iOS Gaming May 2016 | April jests bring Titan Quests

I always thought Gunbrick never got the appreciation it deserved. Clever and original, it's probably my favorite Nitrome game.

Always hoped for a sequel but not sure if it did well enough.

You know what, I haven't tried Beneath The Lighthouse. Should give that a whirl.

Yeah Icebreaker is fantastic. Particularly gratifying for me seeing how wel-realised the final product was, considering I stumbled across the flash version years and years ago and took a liking to it immediately.
Also Rustbucket. It's a colorful evolution of the roguelike puzzler Ending, and they've done a great job with post-release support, adding new levels and mechanics like equippable weapons

Welcome back :)

Get Pathfinder once it's Universal

I see everyone already gave you excellent advices...which reminds me how mature and cool iOS is now as a gaming platform, especially in certain genres.

I would add to those lists some sci-fi awesomeness....so I would get

Out There
Galactic Keep

:)

You have to play for the rest of the year already!!!
Saw you got Warhammer Quest....be sure to play in hard core mode, the only way :)

Out There and Galactic Keep look fantastic. Galactic Keep especially, as it has a similar look to WHQ (I always play Hardcore since I've beaten in like 5 times haha). Thanks!

Galactic Keep is fantastic. A true labor of love. Dev worked on it for six years. Tons of creative flavor text and world building and unique alien designs.

Have you played those on PC? They're all fantastic

Also how doe Max Payne control on iPad?
I have them all on PC. I'm thinking that especially This War of Mine will be easy to control on iPad though. I like lying in my bed at night and thus playing, instead of sitting at the desk.

Which is the better port on iPad? Vice City or San Andreas?

FTL controls the best IMO. I found in TWoM, that some icons would occasionally overlap, but besides that, it'll translated to touch wonderfully. Transistor controls great as well, although you don't have the pinpoint aiming precision of a mouse

Guys, what are some of the best point&click adventure games on the App Store? I mean, outside of the rather rich selection of excellent PC ports. I just got into mobile gaming so I'd be willing to try some of the older stuff too

Leap Day is sooooooooooo fun! Picked it up yesterday and I've gotten two golds (today and yesterday). Damn do they sometimes get tricky!

I wish there was a leaderboard so I could see how I'm doing in relation to my friends though.

Hey folks. New dad here. Unfortunately don't have time for console gaming anymore, so was thinking of heading to apple today and picking up an iPad for portable gaming.

Any recommendation on which iPad is best for gaming? The mini or the air2? Thanks

Played a bunch of Battleheart Legacy on the flight. Game is tough! Am I expected to grind stages for XP and gold to upgrade my character to be able to tackle levels early on?

Both perform relatively the same, the Air being faster by little. The mini is much more comfortable to hold so it's basically preference of size.

Hey, check the discussion on pages 2-3 of this thread for some thoughts in ~the last week or so. That person ended up with a mini 4.

That was me!

The size of the Mini 4 was just too good to pass up. Of course, Best Buy had a $100 off deal at the time, so that helped. But the best thing you can do is go hold and play a game or two on each device in store. That helped me decide that the Air and Pro, while both amazing, were a hair too big for nearly exclusive gaming.

I went from the Mini 2 to the Air 2 (64GB), the Mini is better for gripping when a game has virtual controls but the Air is light enough to still do that, fact is though, most of the games I play are touch interface / control where the bigger screen is better.

Congrats on the new dad thing, mine are due in October (twins), hence me getting used to only ever gaming on the iPad.

We have a 3 month old daughter. I've been getting more late night console gaming in than I'd ever expected. PS4 Remote Play to my iMac has also been a revelation!

Not all games are created equal. With that being said, I'd like to introduce my first iOS app!

ShGM5A7.png

It's a turn based board/strategy game.
Basically it is a two player bingo game in which players take turns selecting the next number, the first player to have 3 lines in his board/card wins the game.
Free to download, no iAP, and no ads.

I like the "art" style and the music of Verreciel so far, but it's crashing too much on my iPhone 6S+ for me to give any real impressions. I haven't been able to get past Velen because it keeps crashing when I go to the station.

1Blocker doesn't seem to work any more on those annoying ads at the bottom of GAF. Anyone else finding it not doing the trick?
