So you read this...and you can't help but feel a full halo 5 client for win 10 is coming right behind this...why would they go through the trouble to have multiple resolutions including 4k if just for forging

I find this quite lame. It's just tease of the actual Halo 5 game experience to get people to buy an Xbox One.

Looks like proper Halo isn't coming to Windows PC anytime soon...

Play your forge creations on Windows 10 you say...

they don't want to have to deal with people who want kbam halo and the others who just as badly want nobody to have kbam

Man Microsoft is truly revolutionizing pc gaming with those groundbreaking features they add

What ever happened with that Russian-only PC Halo game?

It's getting or got shut down.

People are still playing using a third party client.

It was actually a fun game.

I don't know why MS is beating around the bush like this. I think X1 owners will be ok with Halo 5 coming to PC.

So the level building tool is coming to PC, but the game itself isn't?

Wow. What dedication. MS truly cares for the PC platform.

Lol. To avoid backlash they are splitting up the game and delivering it piece by piece. Bold strategy, Cotton.

Er, uh, what? If the Forge mode is up and running shouldn't the full game be good to go?

Irony of it all is that you need to be able to play test Forge maps, so you'll probably be able to spawn and run around.

This his hilariously lame and they know it.

So, you'll go through all the work of 4K resolution but not the full game? Plus, I'm assuming you can't play the maps obviously... but it says test them...?

This is really fucking dumb. Like, dumbest thing I've seen this generation dumb.

help build, test, and play your Forge creations on Windows 10.

sounds like the whole game should just be in there lol

What a roundabout idea... Though I guess if they were going to announce H5 on PC, you'd do it at E3... why not get a little buzz started early?

I'll definitely try it out

I feel like this is just for 343 to dip their toes into the PC side and test UWP, etc.

Halo 6 will come to PC also most likely.

That or next year Halo 5 and all of its DLC will come to PC also.

edit: lol @ everyone flipping out, it's obvious this is just a test for 343 like Forza 5 Apex for Turn 10. It's a way for them to get everything up and running on PC and offering a free thing for now, for full stuff later down the road.

Holy shit that's great news. Halo 5 Forge is amazing but it performs like shit, looks awful (sorry but the dynamic resolution doesn't mean much when it's rarely ever 1080p) and is a bit clunky with controller. Being on PC will automatically fix all of those.

That's weird but great news.

I wonder why Microsoft are pathologically committed to not giving PC gamers a proper version of Halo, at least since they used it as a reason to get people to buy Vista.

Given how much they are saying finally being able to use keyboard and mouse is a good feature (which I agree with), why haven't they let you use a keyboard and mouse on the Xbox version of Halo Forge yet?

Absolutely. If a free thing fucks up, people care less, lol.

Yeah, those PC gamers (who don't own an Xbox One) will definitely be eager to create and play test maps for a game that they don't own.

Touché, Microsoft.

Yeah. I was about to say this is very similar to what Turn 10 is doing with Forza 6 Apex.

Also, "but look for even more exciting updates coming to the Forge experience in Halo 5: Guardians on the Xbox One in the coming months – including new environments, advanced file sharing capabilities, new pieces, palettes, props, and much more."

Give it to me.

What is this shit, just put the Halo games on PC. Many PC gamers already own xbox controller.

Between this and Forza apex I have no idea what ms is doing.

Nice one, always thought they should do this. More creativity and deeper tools on other platforms is the way to go and compliment consoles.

They might as well release the whole thing or, at least, the multiplayer.

What is this halo lite shit. Just give us the full game.

What a fuckin' weird half-measure.

Just announce Halo on PC already

Finally, but where's the full game?

How do you go from "we want Halo" to "they just really want forge"?

Wow.

They announced all future Forza's will come to PC also just recently. Apex and this is clearly just a way to test out the PC environment before launching their NEXT full title on PC also.

It's clearly obvious what is happening here, don't see how so many don't see it lol
