Destiny Rise Of Iron to be revealed tomorrow

Isn't it just a multiplayer expansion with a few reskinned weapons?

Plus if Luke Smith is involved, it's more than likely a steaming pile anyway so don't anyone get their hopes up.

You clearly don't know what you're talking about if you think Luke Smith is bad.

New story, raid, weapons and gear with a September release date.... Trust me

Yes, like Taken King, I wouldn't be surprised.

Please for the love of god be good and please have new locations.

I haven't played this game once in 2016 and I would love a reason to come back.

1. No details have been officially announced. Unofficially, we do know that this is a full story expansion with a raid. So far none of the expansions have simple been "reskinned weapons" or MP only expansions.

2. Luke Smith was responsible for The Taken King, the best part of Destiny so far.

Taken King was both a lot of fun and made me realize that Destiny gets a lot worse once I start taking it seriously. Raiding on multiple characters with an honestly kinda flaky static burned me out pretty quick. I still enjoy the gameplay a lot though so it's likely I'll get this.

As for those people on my PSN friends list who are literally never not playing Destiny after all this time: I don't know how you do it.

I've been away from the game long enough now, I wouldn't be opposed to jumping back in. Has to be some significant PVE content if they want me back though. I'm pretty much done with PVP in Destiny. Not because it's especially bad or anything, I'm just not that into PVP, and it's not enough to get me to purchase an expansion.

Luke Smith was in charge of VOG as well I believe. He has literally been responsible for the best parts of Destiny.

The name rise of iron has me think there is a heavy pvp element/extension in this dlc (assuming this because iron banner is a pvp event). Could be interesting... But still not enough to get me back day 1, will stay updated though to see if destiny can get back into my good graces.

Or it heavily relates to the Iron Lords.

Wait, it's exactly that.

I thought they weren't charging for any new content?

Or did the money from the dance moves just cover bite sized stuff like the SRL and other small scale events?

In theory it is for the live events. Festival of the Lost, Crimson Doubles, Sparrow Racing League.

Oh, I'll give this a whirl.

But now...we need a Destiny 2 announcement. No last-gen support.

Curious to see what Year 3 is going to look like as I doubt there will be any kind of update after Rise of Iron (and I can't see Destiny 2 coming out before NEXT September. . . I mean....maybe in the beginning of the year...maybe...but no...we would have seen a leak by now)

It'll be next September at least. They recently "rebooted it.

Destiny 2 fall 2017.

I doubt this expansion will be cross gen.

Odds are:

$40, Taken King size, September release date.

His throw money at the screen comment is the only bad part. His PR wasn't great but his game design has been consistently good.

He wasn't wrong though! Everyone had that thriller dance emote
I did /shame

There was another comment that he made around the Dark Below release that I remember did not go over well also but I cannot remember it at the moment.

Hmm looking at it now. It does say only current gen. Hmm.
Sure that will piss people off. But my guess those last gen numbers are very very low.

Offcourse it will. Its part of Destiny 1.
Maybe. We will see. I could see them dropping last gen. Even though it is part of Destiny 1, TTK was pushing the last gen systems. Plus, I am assuming that the community on last gen is pretty small. It may not be worth the time and money to produce last gen updates. Cost benefit analysis will dictate if it gets a last gen version.

It could go either way.

Edit: No last gen version mentioned in the other thread.

My copy of Destiny has been gathering dust for a couple of months now, I can't wait to have some new content to explore. Will watch tomorrow.
