WD2, South Park and Steep were the only games that I wanted to play... Maybe trials too, but For Honor looked boring af..

Aisha killed it and the AC movie didn't look bad..

People saying don't sweat the technique is a bad song, are officially shitlisted from having any musical opinions.. Because as far as opinions go... That's a wrong one to have

I agree with the GB guys. That whole ending bit felt like an appeal to the public in the shadow of the potential Vivendi takeover.

An appeal to their employees too.

In a recent interview he hinted that if Vivendi took over the company he might start over again with the talented people of Ubisoft who'll "flee" after the takeover. Right now he's still trying building a "partnernship" to block the takeover.

Ubisoft killed it again as usual. By far the best conference and I don't see Sony changing that. An opening too amazing for words, great games, diversity, the expected stuff all looked great and there was some cool fun surprises too. Steep looks fantastic. Great way to close. And it was just an all round entertaining conference. Good job as usual Ubi. They're my favourite third party AAA publisher for a reason and they showed that well today.

Decent conference, if a bit overlong.

-South Park looks just as fun as the first one, and I'm liking the Super Hero Theme

-For Honor is still IMO, one of the most exciting IP's of this gen and the most exciting thing from Ubisoft since the first Assassins Creed. Mabye because it feels so unlike Ubisoft (seems to have more of a linear structure than an open world checklist design)

. Steep looked kinda fun but could go either way

- None of the Division DLC looked interesting

- Why are those VR games so ugly? I know they have to be locked 60fps even on ps4 but damn, those things looked like HD Ps2 games

- I think not showing an AC game was smart. Having a year not talking about any AC game will make the return feel more exciting

Aisha is so hot I wish she wouldn't talk about urine so much.

An oddly good showing from Ubisoft. They usually rank right by EA, but I'd say they're almost as good as Microsoft this year. Almost.

South Park was hilarious, and the new gameplay changes seem interesting. For Honor and Watch Dogs 2 look good. And while sports games aren't my cup of tea, Steep looks pretty nice. Probably shouldn't have ended the show with it though....

Some parts droned on for too long and the "voice chat" was awful. The movie talk was dull, too. Overall, a surprisingly decent conference, so it gets a 7/10.

Rankings:
1: Microsoft (7.5/10)
2: Ubisoft (7/10)
3: Bethesda (5.5/10)
4: EA (2/10)

I really don't know what to believe from that Wildlands gameplay demo.

Did the players actually choose to go in with stealth to gather intel as stated, or were they actually required to do so for the mission? Did the VIP only escape in the vehicle because the player allowed himself to be seen, or is that a canned sequence that always happens? Was the chase along the road how that mission really plays out? Or will it be like GTAO and with its waves of enemy vehicles that spontaneously spawn in to kill the players?

I've got no idea what to take away from that demo but all of my spider senses are tingling.

How do people still fall for incredibly scripted vertical slices like this? lol your spider senses should have tingled years ago.

Agree, south park, for honor and steep looked fresh and fun to me. Hell even watchdogs 2 seems to improve significantly on the original and i'm excited exploring that city with that smooth parkour system.

yep watch dogs 2 looks like it's much improved!

Maybe some of you are going in with the wrong expectations. If you know what's likely to happen, these things are a load of fun. I even enjoyed the opening with Just Dance 2017.

They did. They have. They are.

I've been cautiously optimistic from the get-go. I'd really like this game to work its potential, but I'm not seeing it.

And I'm really not sure how I'm falling for this demo when I'm questioning all the major parts of it ;p

Better games than Microsoft overall, but talk about extremes - Watch Dogs 2 did nothing for me at all but Steep on the other hand is exactly the kind of game I wanted.

Wildlands continues looking alright.
South Park's just like brprpfrbbt.
For Honor impressed. Seems to have good fight feel.
Watch Dogs 2 looks fun to play, but dumb.
Steep's interesting.
No Beyond Good & Evil 2.

It was way too long IMO but at the same time, Ubi is like the most productive company in video games so it makes sense. Moreover, and probable unlike Sony, they only showed games for this fiscal year which is impressive. 7.5/10

True. The whole "happy Ubisoft family" seemed to hit that bit.

Man, I hope Yves finds a way to block it as I see nothing but bad things coming from a Vivendi takeover.

Maybe that could explain the NX talk today. :O

We watched the same conference right?

People not allowed to have different opinions anymore? I love open worlds, so WD2 and Ghost Recon interest me a lot. I'm also really hyped for Steep, if they manage to capture 10% of the thrill of backcountry snowboarding it'll still be amazing. To each their own taste...

I thought it was a pretty good conference if I'm rating them
MS 4.5, Bethesda 4, Ubi 3.5, EA 2 (ratings out of 5) what little I watched of PC was like a 4

Looked good
For honor
Watch Dogs 2
Fractured But Whole
Blood dragon trials

Meh:
Bird crap
Grow up
Steep (didn't look bad per se but not my kind of game)

Trash
Ghost Recons
Just Dance

I was excited for Steep, and For Honor and South Park looked great. But to call it "the best conference by far and Sony can't change that" seems hyperbolic. MS's conference was great too and Bethesda's was solid.

The Grow Home sequel was a nice surprise too. I really liked Grow Home, but at the same time I never really wanted a sequel. But now that I'm getting one I do want to play it.

I found the the final montage to be quite impressive.
I mean, from a video editing pov and selecting and gathering the footage.

So Steep looked pretty interesting to me. I could see myself having a lot of fun finding the most dangerous routes I can down fresh untouched powder. I can't say I'd be using the flying options often but being able to switch around on the fly like that is pretty cool. Hopefully we can take ski-lifts to get about too and jump out of them if we see something of interest.

MS was solid. Not much really excited me though. I said I don't see Sony changing that. They could surprise me, but he past few years don't give me confidence. Ubi have had my favourite conference at E3 for years now, and they delivered for me today.

Watch_Dogs2 looked worse then the trailers for Watch_Dogs for me. WD was bad and boring. This looks the same but with even more annoying characters.

Oh yeah and STAR TREK VR!

I know it's hard to judge it with what little was shown but still I love the idea and at least on a concept level I've never been so excited to try a VR game.

They didn't show anything impossible or even improbable.
There was no complex interaction beside shooting, capturing and npc going through idle animations.
Open world with outposts that you can tackle with stealth are nothing new, not even for Ubisoft.

Nintendo is going to win E3.

😵

Thought For Honor looked cool.

Wish I could see Sony live but I need to sleep. Excited to wake up. See the Sony conference and finally see some Zelda gameplay.

If having the fewest games was a recipe for winning, the WiiU would be dominating this gen.

Any link to the archived stream? Trying to play it on my phone with no luck. Had to stop watching around South Park...

Edit: nevermind found it

That final sendoff from Yves really left me feeling weird. The compilation of Ubi games over the years, bringing all devs on stage, it felt like he was saying goodbye or something.

I loved this, but instantly hated the fact that I'd have to spend a fortune to play it with friends in the same room.

It's on PC though, so hopefully it'll still be around by the time Gen 3-4 of new wave VR hits and we'll actually be able to afford to play it properly.

:(

Please don't let this happen. Ubisoft are just about the only major third party AAA publisher I still like.
