Is LUCY (Luc Besson) the most powerful on screen character ever?

Soapbox Killer

Grand Nagus
Spoilery title but I would know hoe to phrase the question. Anyway...

So today at work, after a spirited debated about Scarlett Johansson Vs. Charlize Theron, the movie LUCY came up. Some of us liked the movie, while others thought it was "meh" at best and I am in the latter. So by the time Lucy achieves 100% but before she (de)evolves into an "omnipotent flash drive" is she more powerful than anyone else on screen in any movie? Didn't she have the ability to control time and space and travel back to the time of the big bang? And all this from a bag a dope. I don't think I understood this movie.

I can't think of another on-screen character that was this OP on film,

Maybe Dr. Manhattan?

Western cinema only? Otherwise we gonna get goku v superman real quick ITT.

Wasn't Lucy's power bounded by the fact that if she didn't keep taking the drug she would disintegrate into a stream of blue dust?

Doc Manhattan got this since even if he's blasted into atoms he can just reconstruct himself and had the power to assemble matter at will from subatomic particles. His only weakness was his gradual alienation from the fate of humanity.

Lucy and Dr Manhattan have near limitless capabilities within the confines of the universe, but God exists outside of the universe. Morgan Freeman wins.

Horrible movie btw.

The Saint of Killers would shoot Lucy in the face along with every mention of God in this thread.

Sorry but not enough Gun.

Not that I want to argue about comics with slayven because I'm already dead, but who would be considered more powerful as the script writes them as such in the canon?

Legion put the universe into a box. Literally, not even a cool box, just a plain wooden box.

If she managed to step in front of him, sure. If not, good luck on that

I figure if he can kill God, the Devil and even the original death himself, those guns of his can kill Lucy. Also his guns never misfire, never miss, and always kill. That and he seems to be nigh unkillable/destroyable. Maybe Saitama could take him out but he's even more broken.

Nah, that's Popeye with a can of spinach.

Live action only, I dunno. There's a ton of super OP godlike characters.

Why does that shitty movie have a respectable 67% on RT? It should be 6.7%!

Sorry, but even ma gurl, Scarjo couldn't save that film from being a flaming pile. How the fuck does a souped up form of ecstasy supposed to turn you into living energy? What the fuck?

Scarlet Witch.

"No more power level threads."

Except the OP specified "on-screen." I don't think any of her film or tv depictions have been reality-destroying?

I feel like whenever I hear this topic come up, it escalates into a mention of some anime mech that's basically a god that is the sort of OP hax abomination that eldritch horrors tell scary stories about. i can't remember its name tho. Unless "on-screen" meant "western film" and not "any entertainment based upon moving pixels" :p

You're thinking of Demonbane.

It beats everything, probably including Saitama from OnePunchMan who beats things that have ridiculous powers.

God isn't all-powerful when SOK kills him. He doesn't really seem to be able to do much of anything when he isn't on his throne, really, certainly not the reality-warping shenanigans in LUCY.

But he's not omnipotent.
they had to trick god for him to be able to get the chance to kill him. Lucy has no weakness like the throne, so there's no reason to even put herself in potential harms way

luc besson is the great est director for a certain kind of mood but ive only seen a couple of his films

lucy sounds pretty good but i've held off on it due to people bashing the shit out of it

i like dbz power levels though so it sounds kinda OP, should prpobably check it out

It's really not good. People bash it for legitimate reasons. It's a failure of a movie.

Superman 1978. Turned back time just by flying against earths rotation really fast. Didn't touch the planet just the sheer force of his speed was enough to spin earth backwards, keep everyone from flying out of the planet (somehow) and come back to the exact moment before Lois Lane is killed. That is power.
