Sensei managed to make a roux-based sauce on his first try, I call hax.

And yeah sorry dude, I was five once, you don't get to get your kid eat his/her hated vegetables that easily. Kids always find a way!

HOOLY SHIT! BONES really did it

Danganronpa 3 Future Arc - 03

GET OUTTA HERE, PLAYING WITH MY EMOTIONS LIKE THIS, FOR FUCK'S SAKE! Asahina is safe, so all is well. I guess the bull guy wasn't that lucky though. I kinda liked him so it's a shame he had to go this fast.

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood - END

I finished it and now I feel my life is empty :(

Anyway thoughts about it, the things I loved and spoilers for the 2003 series too;

- Both my boys Greed and Scar
not only played a major part in the story but appear until the end, got teary eyed when Greed died but he went out like a champ :'(
- The character of Ling was a great addition, loved his back and forth with Greed throughout.
- I'm so happy that
both brothers' got a happy ending this time round. Felt Winry got a bit screwed over in the end of the original especially as Edward seemed to have married alternate universe Winry haha.
- Despite me thinking certain characters were becoming peripheral to the plot, they
all pulled their punches in the final fight, in particular Scar and Greed.
- I much prefer this tragic figure of Hohenheim to the 2003 version since that one
is pretty much a mass murdering bastard. Setting in motion a long plan and waiting to take down Father was a great addition to his character and his final scene here is perfect :'(
- Some of the fights, holy moly amazing! I think
Wrath has to be involved in the most amazing fights but I have to say I absolutely LOVED the final battle with Father.
- Father is a much better antagonist than
Dante even if he's barely a decent villain himself.
- Also Hohenheim
is the main reason the day was saved in the end, he's pretty much the true main character, Ed just punched Father a few times :p

For me the music was still much better in the 2003 series (Probably still my favourite anime soundtrack) the Elric brothers both proved to be far more instrumental in 03 than Brotherhood and it definitely hit a lot harder in the emotional department but thinking back at it, that series was a really hard pill to swallow by the end
with all the deaths and traumatised ending everyone was going live with.
I felt it didn't really suit the tone of the manga series itself.

Overall I'm still really happy we got two radically different series of Fullmetal Alchemist and I think they both do good things in their own right but I'm going to throw my hat in the Brotherhood camp. The tone of the show, the fights, my favourite characters
Greed, Scar and Hohenheim being superior to their 2003 counterparts (Though Scar was great in both)
the villains and overall plotline... It just suited me more. Guess I'll file this away as another one of my favourite animated shows. 10/10

(Final note, I'm going to miss
short Edward, why'd he have to grow a few inches by the end!)

A couple things I liked more in 2003 version than Brotherhood...
I loved how the homonculous had a personal connection to the main players.
It made their confrontations have that much more weight to it.

I'm a fan of the more cinematic tone/look (bigger budget?) of the 03 series, than the manga sketch-look brotherhood had.

Don't get me wrong, Brotherhood had it's cool and epic moments especially with the new material, but I was let down when Brotherhoods version took a hit quality wise when compared to the previous version

This was such an epic encounter that had a lot of weight in the 03 version, but in Brotherhood, it just felt like a random battle.

But overall I enjoyed Brotherhood slightly more because of the overall story and how they wrapped it up in the end.

Holy cuteness! That "no clump" dance was the cutest thing ever. The show continues to dish out the good feels each week.

Hey Cornbread78

Aren't you going to be out for a while somewhere in the mountain place? I did see a post but didn't know if it's over a weekend or for few days to week. If so, then I will postponed that area till you come back as I need to get through my other anime I put on hold for a while now.

Diamond is Unbreakable 17

Enemies up to this point:

- A con man
- A lovestruck English tutor
- A manga artist looking for material
- An invisible baby
- Spaghetti

Enemy introduced in this episode:

- A serial killer with a hand fetish

Looks like we just leveled up.

Oh, I'm back to civilization and work and more work, lol. Carry on and let amazing happen.

Taboo Tatoo ep.4
Meh, why does it always gotta be a badass loli with the cool weapons? Episode was just ok... Needed more action outside of the unstoppable loli just slicing everything to bits without a challange..

Sweetness and Lightning - 04

Another sweet episode. I remember when I was a kid, I too hated all kinds of vegetables and now I like them. Makes me feel for the father, since I guess feeding your kid stuff they say they don't like must be frustrating.

As an American there are only two characteristics that all women here have, either giant bazongas or wearing an American flag bikini. Yes they can fit both criteria, both they always hit one at least.

Man, your avatar is horrifying LOL. I know this thing is from Amanchu, but still goddamn.

DIDIRI, DA DA DA DA DIDIDIRI

That aside I can't get over them hacking by singing. Like my suspension of disbelief in this show about singing superheroes stops it at that moment. Also the jelly ass face of what's her face.

And Hayate having flying-orgasms while looking at her sing? Then the almost confession. Jesus christ, this pairing is absolutely confirmed, stay losing Mirage. Your love is an illusion. Mirages are something a whore does for money... or COCAINE.

Red Garden 1

The production values aren't anything to write home about, this being a weak digital work by Gonzo after all, but I really like the character designs. Fujijun's designs have a real sense of fashion about them, kind of like the characters I've seen from Ai Yazawa. The hair, the faces, the makeup, and the clothes - it's all quite stylish. Definitely helps to have a solid base like that to keep things visually interesting on some level.

It was a pretty compelling introduction to the series, with the slow dawning realization from the four lead girls that something was horribly wrong. With the discovery of the dead body and the school announcement, I had flashbacks to Twin Peaks, although this a much more high-class series. I get the feeling that this will be the sort of series where there the more I know about the story the less I'll like it - the ending scene was not promising in that regard - but if it can keep delivering on atmosphere and natural feeling characters, it should be worthwhile. I also appreciate that it's set in America but the Americans are not flanderized in any respect, except perhaps for the large noses that Japan uses to denote "foreign". (I read that Okiura designed large noses on the characters in the Hashire Melos film to indicate that they were Greek, for instance.) It's a welcome contrast to Samurai Champloo episode 23, which I could not get through watching yesterday.

It's interesting that Matsuo and company did not attempt to get any quality singing out of Kate's voice actress, but had her sing in a stifled and choked up voice to indicate her distraught grief. Not exactly pleasant to listen to, but it does get the emotional point across.

ROUND VERNIAN VIFAM #02 Emergency Launch! The Wounded Training Ship Jainus!

Why do the aliens keep attacking? This continues to be one of the most interesting points of this. Starting to slightly warm up to the kids though still on a bit of an annoying side, for example he really got stuck in the gravity shaft? really :(

Mob Psycho 97

This show got very meta. The part where the leader was trying to make Mob smile was literally a meta representation of this entire episode (and most of the episodes so far): try-hard jokes. For me at least, this show feels like way too much style over substance. It's stylish as hell, the artstyle and animation are great, but the humor is just not working and mostly everything else is weak. Everything after Mob's explosion was great, but before that, with the religious cult, I was bored.

So Roku was just trying to
save him imouto
the whole time huh? Feel bad for the dude getting
snuffed out at the end
of the show. He wasn't a bad dude at all.. This episode also did have quite the DTL moment as well, lol.

Mob Psycho 104 Dalmatians

I saw the joke coming of the guy in the staring contest laughing immediately after all the bragging coming a mile away but I still had a sensible chuckle.

I loved badass pissed off Mob, with his hair and eyes like that he looked like the bad guy of a regular shonen action. I hope his explosions come often enough because unfortunately his zero charisma isn't enough to drive a whole show by itself. Plus seeing the constant child bullying by that girl, this is gonna be one of those shows I hope she never shows up in present day what a giant douche.

is it worth watching the new berserk? The 3D looks horrid to me but I love the story so much that I am willing to overlook the injustice they are doing as long as the story is done properly

The manga is absolutely the way to go if you care about the story but if that's not an option then I don't see why not. Outside of some very questionable stuff in the first couple episodes, it has been adapting the story pretty faithfully lately.

Well damn, I wasn't expecting that to get so intense towards the end and be pretty awesome stuff. I know, how does that happen with this show??? Then, THAT happened, and color me shocked they went there with the pretty light tone the show has had outside of the opening couple mins. I'm actually looking forward to next week now..

Err, their singing had nothing to do with the hacking, as anime flavored as it had been. The concert was basically a smokescreen, and perhaps a Trojan horse, to help sneak the virus they had prepared to the networks transmission.

Mob psycho 100 3

Man...this show is great! Really great even! The visuals are outstanding. We really see ONE's *battle-style* in this episode.

Mob, Tales of Zestiria, Re:Zero and 91 days are this season's best show right now. I also really like both Food Wars and D.Gray-Man but I find they adapt stuff too quickly and it bugs me :/

Sweetness and Lightning is kind of boring for me. It's a lot more little kid SoL than it is a cooking show.

I take it as a show about a single father's struggle to raise his child and feed her properly after the mom's death. The father is the main character really and his inability to cook is the plot point that drives the whole story.

The characters totally miss. SoL death knell.

Yeah I think that's my problem with it. The set up is fine, but the kid is no Yotsuba, the sensei is no Koiwai, and Kotori is no Asagi.

not gonna lie I'm getting bored with the focus on cooking instead of more single dad drama. Give me more scenes of mom tragically dying from a car crash as like "Devotion" plays in the background

Although not to the same extent, I too am hoping for more background story telling. Tell me more about the mother, more about the teenage girl's relationship with her mother and her whole trauma with the knives. We had a new character presented to us in the form of the girl's best friend from another class, but that only lasted a minute.

Basically yeah, I want more background development.

The only Slice of Life that I really enjoyed was Barakamon. Every other one that I tried just puts me to sleep. I don't know what Barakamon has that the others don't, but I want more SoL like Barakamon.

Did vegetables kill her mother?
