Still furious that the game won't give me the nickname 'Geminosity'.
My google account is called Geminosity. Even though I'm not using it, my PTC is called 'Geminosity' with the display name 'Geminosity' (I made it after attempting on google to check the name definitely isn't taken via that somehow :p )

I guess it's possible someone's actually nabbed it but googling online for my name and pokemon go just... well... it just shows me.
It kind of irks me a great deal that I spent 2 days many years ago (I think 2003?) trying to find a name that had ZERO hits on google and registered a whole bunch of stuff with it and yet years later despite the vast majority of the return results on google being me or people mentioning me I still find total randoms taking my name on stuff I've missed like Instagram (or Gaia online, but I'd never use that anyhoo :p ) I know you can't really 'claim' a name really but you'd think having it on just about every service of note would be a pretty big flag in the ground :p

Thing is, for pokemon go I'm wondering if it might be a security thing where you can't make your nickname the same as your google account or something? Has anyone else had this issue? :eek:

  • Incense will spawn a new Pokémon attached to your player every five minutes or every 200m walked.
  • Lures will spawn a single Pokémon attached to the lured Pokéstop every five minutes.
  • Neither Pokémon spawned from incence nor lures appear in Nearby/Sightings.
  • Pokémon appearing in Nearby/Sightings have already spawned at fixed coordinates and do not move from their spawn location.
  • Incense and lures do not make any Pokémon already spawned come closer to the incense or lure.

Nice man! I'm also in the LA area.

Were there any spots you were able to snag enough Dratini's for Dragonite? And Magikarp for Gyarados? Or were those hatched/caught, lol.

Thanks! That was VERY informative!

That explains why I don't see that many pokemons when I use icense and stand still. I guess I should use it when moving around!

Yeah, this update has been pretty much all good changes. The driving warning is gonna be annoying for commuters, but that's it. Nevermind that most of the changes are fixing what got broken previously, but it feels good. :)

There's still some outstanding bugs like the Battles Won being cut off, but not too important.

Besides the typica 2km egg guys..

Lot's of Gastly, Venonat, Bellsprout, Psyduck, Staryu, Goldeen, Seel, Horsea, Krabby, Oddish, Poliwag, Shelder.

Basically it's all grass, poison and water around by me. This is a total shock being down here in the Southwest. Basically everything I'm catching I've only gotten through eggs previously. I'm gonna run out of Pokeballs at this rate catching enough to evolve everything.

see your name at least has a nice ring to it and no numbers. (and i could easily see a steven universe fan taking it as a combination of Gem and Generosity)

I am at a complete loss as to why someone would steal zulux21 lol.

I do have zulux21 in pokemon go, but I have gotten on sights or games before where it had been taken @_@

Wow, that is a lot of items! Mine is currently 387 / 500. Before the weekend I had over 300 regular Pokeballs lol.

Not sure if I'll need to increase it anytime soon. I should probably be good for a while.

Kind of wonder if they expand everyone's pokemon slots for free down the line with the new generations.

Nice, where in LA are you? I'm in Los Feliz and never see Gastly, Dratini, or a lot of the more rare spawns. Although there used to be a Jynx nest near me that spawned a Dragonite the other day.

Thankies and also not too far off the origin for myself: a combination of my starsign (Gemini) and Generosity :3

Hmm, so you've got zulux21 as your google name and in go? Gah, well, there goes that theory. Guess someone really did steal it :/
I feel your pain on sites where you can't get your name though.
In the past, some of the sites that said mine was unavailable or taken it sometimes turned out to be mismessaged and it was actually a security measure that your nickname couldn't match your account name or the like but I guess that's not the case for this one annoyingly :p

Not happy with 'shinyGeminosity' though and regardless of the reason I guess the name I want isn't available to me... I'll have to use the one-use rename opportunity for something else I guess -.-

nah 0 revives, also 0 potions except for max potions, I trash all others

Although I do have 71 max potions...I have trouble trashing max potions cuz they're so damn convenient

Didn't know there was a cap tho...I'm getting close

Can't buy great balls, ultra balls, and berries

And yeah never bought any poke balls. Mostly just storage and incubators

Only have 300 storage for Pokemon...also thinking about increasing it a bit

Item storage has been the best way to spend coins personally imho

Probably not. But, I can maybe see them doing this once a few generations have been added. Or prob just increasing the max limit (I'm assuming it's 1000 like the items)

Cool. I should calculate it all and be sure which Pokemon to evolve tomorrow. I assume hatching eggs during a lucky egg also gives double xp.

pokemon go user name is zulux21.

on the plus side for me my main user name isn't an issue most of the time (heck most of the places I don't have my main user name it's because I created the original account and then forgot it only site I actively chose a different user name is ebay.)

my alt name of Harukano is often taken though thus I tend to have to go through a huge list of variations typically resulting in me having to use the name Haruka-Noienzumi if it will let me as an alt lol.

When you press a pokemon and click view, it zooms out and takes you to this overview map now. The pokemon is in the pink circle I'm guessing?

Well, it's good that you have some alts :D
I'm going through my massive list of names I use for my MMO characters as an alternative but most seem taken, or in some cases unsuited:, I might be happy to name my MMO characters after desserts and treats but I don't feel they suit my 'poke-avatar' :p

Pressing on a pokemon under "Sightings" gives a generic message now. Wonder if they'll provide some sort of tracking for that.
