This is everything I wanted it to be so far. Only just left my first system, but I'm having a blast. Spent like 2 hours just exploring a moon, never mind the huge planet next to it. Got a ton of suit upgrades but still have the basic multi tool which is annoying. Plus I need more slots the, the lack of inventory is killing me!

All 3 planets I've been too have been pretty different, so that's a good start!

What's the best way to find a new multi-tool? I've warped to 3 systems so far and I haven't found a new one yet.

In the little outposts that are scattered across planets, behind the inevitable alien (Korvax in my case) entity, usually just to the left of the galactic trading hub interface is a red box on the wall which opens to offer a new multi-tool. I'm on my 4th tool now, 14 slots.

Warp crashing is absolutely game breaking. On the off chance you forgot to save before warping, you've lost you're fuel and you're totally fucked.

I'm finding this game to be pretty relaxing. It didn't quite break my Overwatch addiction, and with Deus Ex coming out soon I wonder if I'll make it to the center of the galaxy in time.

I might just play this as a 'whenever' game, just pick up and play. I own it digitally, so it's no so much of a hassle to switch to a disc. Plus, I bet this game will get a ton of QOL elements in upcoming patches (stacking, etc).

Only on my third planet, lol. I have to break my OCD.

When you're on a planet wondering around is there a quick way to get back to your ship? Because i wonder quite far out and it takes me a while to walk back to it...

Certain bases have beacons that can teleport your ship to you with a bypass chip. I know for sure all trading posts have one and certain regular bases do too. I quite like leaving my ship behind at times and just finding one of these when I'm ready to leave.

Interesting, thanks. I feel like this sort of exploration and reward is what I need. I love exploring and such, but I just need something outside of satisfaction and cool pics.

Oh, uh, maybe I should have led with this, but you also get paid outright for uploading your discoveries of systems, planets, and creatures (maybe other things too- not pursuing this aspect at all on my PS4 character) to the central database.

So even the "just go look" is actually a source of profit if that appeals to you.

i swear, some worlds are all suit upgrades, and then the rest are none at all

your multi tool has two modes.

mining and gun

press triangle to switch between the modes.

also, don't waste mod space on combat upgrade on your mining tool if you're not using your mining tool for combat.

Some people in here should really take a look at the controls when they start playing a game. How lost can you be? Looks like the hand holding in modern AAA titles dos more damage than I thought.

What's crazy is some moons are so small you can see the curvature while flying pretty low. One moon I was on the mother planet was straight in front of my and I kept flying at it to see if it would take me to the planet I was aimed at or follow the curvature. And of course it followed the curvature.

Any idea why there's a "coffee stain" on my LE.....?

Well, not really coffee, of course.....but there's some brownish dirt on the ride side of the front artwork that looks out of place, kinda. At first I was really irked by this, of course.....but then while looking at my order details on Amazon I realized that the very same stain is on their product site!

So either they used my very copy for their product photo , or it's....normal. However, I've only seen it on the German USK version, not on UK nor US boxes....but I have seen neither in person so maybe it's there?

That's not a stain, it's "aging". Look at the side, how it looks battered and torn. They designed it to look like an old book.

My LE won't get to me until next week (US here) but I actually wish it looked like that instead of all clean cut. I mean it's the Limited Edition for crying out loud, make it look unique! Designing it to look like an old book is awesome. I almost wish they pushed it a little further since it looks like it's just that one edge and not all of them.

As to someone asking if there are other races, I've been dealing with the Kovrath (sp?) exclusively so far.

There are three I know of. Korvax, Gek, and Vy'Keen.

One thing I've noticed is that the more lush planets tend to have bigger creatures than desolate planets.

You're in luck.

Use your visor to scan a structure near the area you want to mark. This will add a white marker to the point, allowing you to find your way back when you're ready.

Someone here got it from a Colonial Outpost. You can find those from the Signal Scanners (need one bypass chip).

Go to the nearest space station. Sometimes the attendant there will give you the option to repair your ship, given you're in good standing with the race. I've only found two other ways to repair your ship:

• Save & Restart the Game
• Warp to a New System

I'm not at home, but I have some other theories that I'm going to confirm tonight.

I like the color palette of that planet! And hm, you know I've visited five planets so far and I've never gotten a prompt to feed any creature. Admittedly there's only been two that were chill enough to let me walk up to them, the rest ran away or tried to kill me.
