Poor Dennis Haysbert. He tries so hard.

He certainly didn't give a powerhouse performance as Palmer in 24 or anything. His middling-to-shitty acting was always forgivable because deep down, you just know you'd like the guy if you met him for a beer. Doesn't help he shows up in Heat only to get gunned down in the getaway vehicle. That character's story was so brief, yet so fucking tragic.

Plemons did some astonishingly creepy work in Breaking Bad so I can definitely get on the bandwagon there.
