Not exactly sure why they're making such a big deal out of HDR like it's a new thing when Half Life 2: Lost Coast had it in 2005 and source engine has had it since then.

That means that the "pro" only offers fake 4k and some graphic fidelity IF the developer patches the game. LOL

PS4 Pro may end up doing all right if developers start releasing some clear differences on 1080p, but this event was more like tripping across the finish line. So underwhelming.

I've no 4k TV and I have no intention of getting one for at least a year - there's no point.

For Honor showed the games will look better.

Compared to the other events they've given a speech it was really weird.
I couldn't get behind the message and couldn't tell much difference (compression or not) between a normal PS4 and Pro.

Not sure, can't say I have much good to say about the event it was lackluster IMO.
The design is nice though, just not much was mentioned about specs and such.

Looks big compared to the slim, barely bigger than standard PS4, a bit taller perhaps. Extra height suggests beefier cooling so either they learned from standard PS4 and designed it to be quieter or the APU is a bit more power hungry, or both.

No way I'm buying a PS4 Pro. Seems redundant if you're without a 4k HDR display. Was hoping they'd use the extra GPU boost for enhanced visuals and framerate at 1080p.

Pretty much what I expected. PS4 Pro is even harder to show off to people than VR via streams. At least with VR you can show how people are playing it. When you're pushing HDR and 4K then you have a really hard sell showing people who are watching it compressed via the internet.

Might get one since I'm probably getting a 4k tv soon and will need to be able to view content on it.
